I’ve been to several of the Home Team locations across the state. I initially wanted to leave a review because I recently went to one again and noticed they changed their chicken finger recipe which totally down graded the meal. But here’s my review of this franchise from the years of going to it. The food is not the best, even the BBQ. There’s something about the lack of flavor. They do have bbq sauce at the tables to spice things up, but most of the options are a sweet sauce which is alright, but I really want the savory mouthwatering stuff, which they lack in. They do have a few spicy sauce option and one that is savory and pretty decent but I’d love to taste another sauce creation like that or at least have more options. The service is very dependent place to place. The waiters wait and they’re pretty good at it, but when I think of service, I think of the hosts at the front. I’ve been to A few locations where the service was just so friendly, incredible and timely, But I’ve also been to a lesser few locations where the service was just not it, and it was some grouchy college girl who isn’t the friendliest which does kind of ruin the atmosphere and vibes. Although I haven’t had that kind of service in a while. Speaking of the atmosphere, I absolutely love the atmosphere of Home Team. If you’re looking for a great affordable place to eat some barbecue and just chill out with some friends and watch some sports on their TV this is the place for it. Really love this franchise just hate that they changed the chicken finger recipe. Please change it back!

Let me say first I am not at all a BBQ person. My friend and I are on vacation and he suggested to try this place. I was on the fence but as soon as we walked in we were greeted by friendly staff and show to a table. Iced water was placed before us and a menu that was plentiful in a variety of food as it was appealing.
I ordered the platter as I didn’t think much of it at the time, and boy was I wrong. The pulled pork was tender and mouth watering, Mac and cheese creamy and gooey, chili was sweet with a hint of heat, the chicken was moist as it was seasoned. I greatly enjoyed my meal and hardly talked during the whole dinner. Even the banana pudding was divine, and I go against bananas whenever able! The resultant was a solid five in every category.
It is a great shame I live three hours away from that place, as if I or it were closer, I would very much be adding on some not so much needed pounds.
Highly recommend this place, as must have for BBQ.

It was pretty good for a BBQ place. I loved the array of sauces. I used all of them. And my server Katrina was very kind and an excellent server. She even got me to get dessert which I rarely ever get. But that banana pudding was some of the best I have had I think!

This place is absolutely amazing. Came here high as a kite after having a surgery and they were so sweet and so patient with me being in pain and kind of out of it. Love love love them for that. My husband and I ordered a little bit of everything and ALL OF IT was so great! New favorite BBQ place!!

Best bbq in town. Get the fried ribs with Alabama sauce and pepper jelly w collards and the cucumber salad. The game changer cocktail is delicious oh and they have Blanton. Enjoy!!

Great food, great vibe! Giving the food 4/5 stars; I got a brisket Philly cheese steak which was not a good use of brisket. It was on ok sandwich, but the cheese overwhelmed the brisket... Everything else was 5/5!
