Incredable intense salmon dinner.... WOW! Can't wait to go back. Update: 2021. They did not survive covid period. Closed business. So sad.

Awesome location off of the market, Great customer service, delicious food, and beautiful atmosphere. I wish the portions were a bit larger for the prices, but I will try them again.

Highly recommend this restaurant! We sort of fell upon this restaurant searching for a place for a nice evening out during a bachelorette party weekend. So glad we found it! Everyone in our party liked their food. The drinks were amazing and the service was great. We ordered the fried green tomatoes, calamari, scallops, brussel sprouts, oysters bienville. All were delicious!

We were looking for a casual place for a late dinner and went here. The shrimp and grits were the best we’ve had. The hamburger was greasy but guess we should have ordered only seafood. Service was good and prices reasonable.

Food was good, but can’t say so much for customer service. One person in our party doesn’t like seafood and ordered a burger well done. Burger came almost medium rare. By the time the remake came... everyone else was done eating. No comp was offered. When we commented that our one party had to eat alone after everyone else was done eating. They had no care or concern except a comment that they had hurry the burger, with an eye roll... like “who orders burger at a seafood place” my Solution=start burger before the seafood. They had no problem letting us know that their problems are OUR problems. Also website says happy hour drink specials. But they said no drinks are happy hour when ordered at the dinner table, only at the bar. I said my solution would be “you can ring up our drink orders under a bar tab”. They refused and we had to pay pull price. Bottom line...we left there a wee bit irritated and will not return.

Our waitress was excellent. Quick with the orders, drinks, food and bills. She knew we had a show to attend and made everything flow without any pressures. The restaurant was picture perfect and our food was 5 star! Had guests in from other states and ALL said their meals fantastic! Thank you so much!

We stuck our head in to inquire if reservations would be needed later in the day while strolling around site seeing, and staff enthusiastically encouraged us to come back for happy hour, and could come without reservations. We returned, sat at the bar, and had a great afternoon-evening. Several $5 small plates. Calamari is excellent! Chicken livers great! I didn’t taste it but the hamburger looked terrific, and the patron who ordered it said its one of the best burgers in town. Oysters weren’t my favorite, but my friend liked them. After small plates, the east bay platter is definitely enough for two to share! The desserts looked really good, but fly, I was WAY too full to partake. Might be a nice mid afternoon treat with coffee sometime. The pecan brittle basket was tempting!

We had a variety of entrees; but all were well presented and delicious. The oyster po boy was especially enjoyed!

Hooked is one of those places you go to when you're craving fried seafood. I had a platter with fried flounder, shrimp and oysters. The breading was crisp and a great flavor. The flounder was outstanding. An appetizer of oysters bienville wasn't quite as spectacular. Cole slaw was fresh. Good choice for someone looking for a laid back, unpretentious place with good food and bevs. Get a seat by the window if possible to people watch on Market Street.

We stopped in for a drink and because the bartender was so friendly and nice we came back later for dinner. Dinner was excellent but the brussels sprouts appetizer was incredible!

After hearing how good Hooked was from a local bartender my hubby and I decided we would try it for dinner. Service was outstanding. Atmosphere was a bit trendy but with windows open it was very refreshing. We had crab fritters that were full of crab meat...not just a couple pieces of crab so they could call it a crab fritter. Then we shared a grilled seafood platter. The oysters were great, shrimp even better but the flounder was over the top good. No need for lemon, tarter sauce, or cocktail sauce with all the flavor. The pimento cheese grits were so good I had to force myself to stop eating so I wouldn’t be sick from eating too much. I highly recommend this place!!!

The best seafood dinner I’ve had in Charleston. Wait staff was friendly but not intrusive. Crab fritter appetizer was outstanding. Grilled oysters were the best I’ve ever tasted. The flounder was seasoned to perfection. Shrimp were meaty and delicious.

Our party of 4 adults and 2 children had a wonderful dinner at Hooked. Celia provided attentive service, and our courses arrived quickly and cooked to perfection. Everyone left full and happy. We will be back!
