Hugh-Baby's BBQ & Burger Shop

Today was the first time I have ever been to this restaurant but being the burger snob that I am, I wanted to try something I had never had before. With only one location in Charleston, I had no clue how it would be - let me say this. DAMN! (Sorry) This burger was THE best I have ever tasted. The bread was so fresh, nice and warm, and the two thin pattys smashed together with cheese tasted like heaven between that bun! The burger was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. No kidding at all. This is by far the best of the best burgers in Charleston and in the country as far as I’m concerned. It was a wee bit pricey, but it’s a price I do not mind paying to get the quality and freshness that was delivered at Hugh Baby’s BBQ & Burger Shop. If my waistline would allow, I would probably go every day! Thank God for these smaller chains that actually care about good quality!

Service was great, food even better and the milkshakes were amazing! Fastest time we have had for food at any place we have eaten at so far, and not overpriced!

This place has some fantastic burgers. It has the best burgers in town. I'll give the place 5 out of 5. The food is 5, the service is 5, and the speed is a 5.
The burger has fresh toppings. The patty is seasoned well. The buns are soft. The fries are always hot and fresh.

This was our first time at Hugh Baby BBQ and Burger Shop and wow we were impressed. The pork sandwich with coleslaw was absolutely delicious and the chili cheese fries were just as good. The flavors were spot on and everything tasted fresh.

The food was FIRE 🔥 WE GOT TWO HOTDOGS, and burger, and two order of fries with a fresh squeezed lemonade!
The hotdogs were 1000000/10
The fries were like Wendy fries and McDonald’s fries but wayyyyyy better!
The burger was like a 8.5/10 could have used more seasoning!
And the lemonade was very very fresh 🤤🤤
JUST GO AND TRY THE PLACE OUT!!

We wanted a good burger and have driven by Hugh Babys for a while. I am so glad we went! We dined in. The restaurant was very clean. Well staffed. And the burgers were excellent. We also enjoyed James coming out from the kitchen and checking on us. We tried the BBQ and it was also mouth watering delicious. All the sauces were homemade, and everything tasted fresh and delicious! We will be going back and even took a catering pamphlet. Lets see this place succeed! Go try it :)

The burger was very very good. I'd give 5 stars if they weren't so expensive for being as small as they are.

Good smash burger. Could use just a sprinkle of salt and pepper, but there's S&P at the table. Catfish sandwich has a great tartar sauce and slaw. Chili fries had plenty of classic chili. All at very reasonable prices which are hard to find these days. Simple, clean restaurant and bathrooms. Nice music that wasn't too loud. The best part? They made a grilled cheese for my kid, off menu. I'll be back soon!
