Atmosphere here is top notch. Food is good but I'd say their wide selection of bourbon is the star of the show. Reservations required.

Charming southern fare in a beautiful Victorian setting! The shrimp dumplings are a standout—perfectly seasoned and bursting with flavor. The cozy, historic ambiance adds to the experience, making it a must-visit spot in Charleston. Great service and a menu that truly captures the essence of Southern cuisine. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing dinner! Our server was so kind, helpful all full of detailed information about every meal. One of the best experiences so far. Food was amazing!

We didn't have a reservation and we had luck to be seated inside without any wait.

Parking: Garage across the street.

We've been waiting for a special occasion to try Husk, and tonight we finally got there. Overall, the experience was excellent.
The star of the appetizers we tried were the deviled eggs. One of us is not even that fond of deviled eggs, but these were absolutely fantastic! The NC roasted oysters were also very good.
Short rib with potatoes was tender and flavorful, and there was just enough on the plate.
Rabbit roulade was a bit of a miss, as it contained very little rabbit (a delicately flavored meat) and a LOT of what we can only describe as chorizo meatloaf (a very strongly flavored meat). The sauce, mushrooms, and grits paired with the rabbit alone were very good. The Chorizo absolutely did not belong there - especially in that very large amount.
A beautiful glass of rose complemented the meal nicely. The old fashioned was a good, traditional one.
For dessert, the special corn ice cream with a salty caramel swirl was a revelation. The mud pie was a perfect balance of sweet and bitter when paired with a fantastic, not too sweet coffee ice cream, and a fluffy marshmallow topping.
Service was professional and friendly. The ambiance was lovely.
We definitely recommend going to Husk!

As other reviewers have noted, the food is well cooked but no "wow". If I am spending for a five star meal I would like it to be memorable. The rabbit was cooked perfectly but the spice level was unremarkable. The grits were fluffy but again, no real taste. The tile fish was nice but no signature taste. Two of us had their take on brunswick stew, cioppino, and it lacked fish and was unremarkable. We didn't finish the bread pudding since it was more similar to soggy cake. The sole dessert was fine. We were expecting something with interesting flavors and nothing from entrée to dessert was worth the tab at the end of the meal.

Incredible brunch experience at Husk during Labor Day weekend. Who knew that some of the most authentic Appalachian cuisine is located in a historic Victorian in Charleston? Highly recommend.

Came in for bachelorette party and dined at Husk our first night, it was a mistake because it made everything else not very good ? we all LOVED our meals. The 7 of us all got either the chicken or short rib and it was so delicious. The cornbread wasn’t great, don’t recommend. But other than that, wonderful! Will definitely be craving the short rib!

I rarely review places, but Husk exceeded my expectations in every way. Drinks were good, service was great, and the food was amazing. I got the porkchop with beans. Beans are an easy easy to my heart, but it was better than it had any right to be. Against my better judgement I got some ice cream, not a big dessert fan, and that did not fail to disappoint either. Not a single thing was less than great.

We have lived in Charleston for over 2 years and have yet to go to Husk so we were excited to try it for the first time for our anniversary last night. The service was outright disappointing. Our server acted like we were an inconvenience. The atmosphere was the only highlight of our evening. Our waiter did not even wish us a “happy anniversary”. If you’re coming to visit Charleston and thinking of making a reservation and spending this kind of money, opt for Sorelle or Southbound instead. The hospitality really makes a difference. Maybe it was just the server we had but it was very disappointing.
