During our visit to Charleston, we went up going to Husk in 21 May and had a great dinner. We had the blueberry basil and the Wendy Pepper, corn for drinks and then had tilefish ceviche for appetizer with diverse scallops and wreckfish for our entrées, unfortunately on arrival the front staff were just not that good and seemed confused. It took them a while to find a reservation and then she didn’t know how to find a seat for us, but s manager stepped in so that was helpful. Otherwise would’ve given it a five.

went for dinner and then brunch a few days later. Both meals were very good, with the yellowfin crudo being the most noteworthy. Over the course of three days, went to all three restaurants in Charleston recently cited in the RobbReport 100 Best Restaurants in the US. Of the three, we thought Husk was second best, by a fairly small margin

Holy cow this place freaking rocks! What a meal. Rob the server was so kind and the food was tremendous. Everything had insane flavor. For my money, best meal we had in Charleston.

We had a wonderful evening at Husk. Our server was very knowledgeable and helped us make great choices for our meals. The food was wonderful. I highly recommend the scallops. The atmosphere was lovely.

Husk was probably the best meal of the entire trip! The appetizer of ribs with Alabama white sauce was wonderful! I can still recall it even now. My main course was the Husk Burger which was mouth watering! Staff at Husk were great too!

Husk has been on my bucket list for several years now, and I finally made it to Charleston. I was eating solo so a little nervous about visiting such a fancy restaurant. Not to worry the staff was elaborately welcoming and wonderful. My waiter, Rob was helpful, kind, and efficient. Fascinating thing about this restaurant is absolutely every food in it is locally sourced. They have a big board listing everything from eggs to mushrooms and where they obtain it. It was fascinating. I ordered the oysters "Rockefeller"-- their take on a traditional appetizer was phenomenal. The recommended wine was Ernest Chardonnay 2022 from Sonoma. Probably the best Chard I've had. Main course was a fabulous scallop entrée seared in brown butter and mixed with mashed potato purée. I also ordered the cornbread just so I could give it a try but it was way too much for me so I shared it with a table nearby! For dessert I had the lemon curd meringue pie which was out of this world -- heavenly, delicious, airy, light, fabulous. Who knew that Buffalo trace made a cream brandy? That's what they use in their coffee with "" Bailey's"! All in all, this was probably my favorite dining experience ever. Even though it was my first one alone after my husband passed away.

Unfortunately Husk was an epic let down. I don’t like bashing people’s business, but the food was mediocre at best and inedible at the worst. This is not a representation of southern food and poorly executed. I’m disappointed in the money we spent. Service was excellent. Ambiance was very nice as well. Tables are nicely spread out.

One of the best meals I’ve ever had.

You expect a fine dining experience and you get it here. The food, service and staff are top notch.
It is noisy since it isn't that large.

Husk is a Charleston staple and always a must-visit for me. I especially love the bar area in the small house behind the main restaurant, it has such great character. The food is consistently excellent, and I can always find something on the menu that I’m excited to try.

Bummer. I had high hopes. Just because you farm fresh and conscientiously it doesn't mean you can cook. My duck supper had too much smoke flavor. I prefer my duck to actually taste somewhat like duck not a tree.. a metallic tree at that. The steak my husband had was good and I ended up eating his food instead but it was a mere two slices of sirloin. So we ended up going out to eat at another restaurant directly after our meal here as I was still hungry. Overrated

Well, we booked a porch table which seemed like a great idea at the time but happened to come during monsoon season in Charleston. Didn’t get wet as plastic curtains were dropped down but it seemed like other diners might have cancelled or been moved inside and away from those. Apart from the weather, great! Maybe the best scallops ever, house oysters were delicious too.
