In The Kitchen with Bob Waggoner

Always a fun and delicious time with Chef Bob!

Had the pleasure of cooking with Bob for the second time. We last enjoyed this experience in 2017 and enjoyed it just as much in 2024. Bob has a great sense of humor and lets you be fully hands on in every aspect of the meal preparation. We enjoyed salmon, lamb chops and a pear&apricot puff pastry dessert topped with pecans and ice cream. The wine pairings were excellent and we had a great time getting to know the other participants.

As soon as you step in Chef Bob's kitchen you feel welcomed and you know it will be an extraordinary experience. The tables were beautifully dressed with china and fresh flowers. His passion for culinary arts was infectious and his approachable style is heart-warming. It was a true hands on experience. An accomplished chef, trained in France, his knowledge of French cuisine is impressive yet he has an unpretentious soulful way of teaching others. We cooked a three course meal paired with amazing selection of wines that were served at perfect temperature. We are visiting Charleston and dined at the finest rated restaurants and this meal was far superior and we cooked it! It was of course all under his guidance and he encouraged creativity. He has a special skill that connects people through laughter, learning and love of slow food, as it should be celebrated. This class was not only the best experience in Charleston, it is the best class I have ever taken. You just leave happy.

What an experience! The way he brings each and every one of us together as a family then hones our cooking skills is simple amazing! We both look forward on continuing the experience with Chef Bob in the near future

Where to begin. Words cannot do justice to begin to explain how truly wonderful this experience was. My boyfriend surprised me with Bobs cooking class during my birthday trip to Charleston. Upon arrival Bob was inviting, warm, and had a bright personality. Bob was personable and spoke to the group about his background which was impressive. Bob made this class fun and informative. His techniques and lightheartedness made this class even that much more enjoyable. The atmosphere was beautiful and created a space to get to know the other “chefs”. Conversations were had around the table during dinner and we all became one big happy family by the end of the night. During dessert Bob surprised me with a candle and everyone sang happy birthday. This was a moment that brought tears of joy and an immense amount of gratitude. I will cherish this night and moment for years to come. I would recommend Bobs class to any and everyone I know. There is no doubt this was the best part of my trip for my 25th birthday. Thank you Bob for your time and sharing your knowledge and love of cooking with us.

A unique dining experience! We will definitely be booking another class soon! We learned a great deal without doing a great deal of work. It was so relaxing! Chef Bob gifted at teaching and cooking. It was a fabulous date night, Chef Bob was completely entertaining, food was delicious and we made new friends. There's nothing else like it in Charleston! You'll thank me later;)

Wow, I didn’t know I could cook so well! Well it’s not everyday that you get to take instructions from an award winning, famous Chef Bob Waggoner either.This was such an amazing experience, Chef Bob’s personality and entertaining stories only further enhances the experience ?. My wife and I enjoyed this experience with some friends. This would be a great idea for an anniversary or birthday dinner instead of the ole dinner @ a restaurant.

I have had the pleasure of experiencing this class twice. It is true class! Would do it all the time if I were local. Recommend to anyone and everyone!

Chef Waggoner has created a fun entertaining delicious cooking experience in an awesome setting in downtown Charleston as you learn, taste and wine and dine your way through a gourmet meal. I highly recommend Chef Waggoner's In The Kitchen.
