A unique dining experience! We will definitely be booking another class soon! We learned a great deal without doing a great deal of work. It was so relaxing! Chef Bob gifted at teaching and cooking. It was a fabulous date night, Chef Bob was completely entertaining, food was delicious and we made new friends. There's nothing else like it in Charleston! You'll thank me later;)

Wow, I didn’t know I could cook so well! Well it’s not everyday that you get to take instructions from an award winning, famous Chef Bob Waggoner either. This was such an amazing experience, Chef Bob’s personality and entertaining stories only further enhances the experience ?. My wife and I enjoyed this experience with some friends. This would be a great idea for an anniversary or birthday dinner instead of the ole dinner @ a restaurant.

I have had the pleasure of experiencing this class twice. It is true class! Would do it all the time if I were local. Recommend to anyone and everyone!

Chef Waggoner has created a fun entertaining delicious cooking experience in an awesome setting in downtown Charleston as you learn, taste and wine and dine your way through a gourmet meal. I highly recommend Chef Waggoner's In The Kitchen.

10/10 experience. I like cooking, but am no expert, and this was a perfect experience to learn some new techniques and pick the brain of Chef Bob. His French influence, passion for food, and lighthearted comedy made the evening an absolute blast and I came away with some new knowledge.

Absolutely incredible experience with amazing food. Chef Bob taught us how to handle utensils, make beef broth, cook seafood and meat, and introduced us to new seasonings and vegetables. He is knowledgeable, entertaining, and creates a wonderful experience!! We will definitely come back next time we are in Charleston. It's a must do when you come to Charleston!

What a great experience! My husband and I went for our anniversary and really had a great time. Chef Bob is so personable and tells great stories. He gives you tips on how to cook, but isn't Gordon Ramsay if you don't do it "his way."Food is fresh that day, so you won't know in advance what you are cooking, but when you make the reservation you can tell him about allergies, so that can be avoided. Wine is included for each course as well. You sit at a lovely table set for 12 and everyone just enjoys themselves. Definitely worth doing and we will go again.

Words cannot describe the upbeat, delicious time spent with Chef Bob Waggoner in his cooking class. 12 people (the maximum) gathered first to meet early, talk, and be handed champagne by this renowned, award winning chef, who trained in France and has been a chef in many countries including the USA, France, and Venezuela. Google his name for an amazing biography, including his over a decade long time as Executive Chef at Charleston Place. Here at his "In The Kitchen" experience you feel and hear his energy as he guides you, prepping the food around the U-shaped marble countertop, through cooking on one of the six gas stoves as you prepare (and then sit and eat) a delicious buttery, quite French appetizer (enough for a meal, frankly), then a full meal, as you are served a bit of paired wines (not a full glass of course as this is about preparing and savoring the fine food) and then to a dessert. Our appetizer this night was that with dry stored scallops, the main meal was duck, and the dessert was berries and ice cream with the prepared reduction of a delicious syrupy complement. It indeed was a great evening not only in meeting 10 other people who initially were strangers but also experiencing Chef Bob, the most friendly, outgoing, extremely well versed and frankly funny Chef that you ever want to meet. The entire evening was flawless with his energetic rushing about at times, when we sat to enjoy the prepared creations. 5 stars? No 10 stars!

I have cooked with Bob twice and it is an amazing experience. Not only will you have an exceptional dinner paired with lovely wines, in a wonderful setting; but unlike many cooking classes every one cooks each course. To Note: Since the menu changes daily and includes what Bob finds fresh at the market, he will give you paper menus or recipes. So bring a way to write recipes you like and take lots of photos. Book early as it is difficult to get reservations.
