I’ve visited the Jimmy John’s location at 99 Westedge St Suite 1500, Charleston, SC 29403 twice, hoping the first bad experience was just an off day. Unfortunately, the second visit confirmed that this location consistently fails to meet even the most basic standards.
During my first visit, the service was painfully slow, and the staff were outright rude. The sandwiches were poorly assembled, cold, and unappetizing. I decided to give them another chance, but the second experience was no better. The same unprofessional behavior from the staff and the same low-quality food.
This isn’t just a one-off issue — it’s clearly a problem with management and overall operations at this location. If I were the owner, I’d seriously consider replacing the entire team.
If you’re looking for a Jimmy John’s experience that lives up to the brand’s reputation, I highly recommend the location at 7565 Rivers Ave D, North Charleston, SC. The staff there are friendly, efficient, and the sandwiches are fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made.
As for the Westedge St location, save yourself the disappointment and go somewhere else. It’s not worth your time, money, or appetite.

Whoever the franchise owner is of the downtown, Jimmy John's are is terrible. Not sure if it's the same person who owns both, but I think the one closed and this one has to be not far behind, There's never a delivery driver. The orders are never right and now they're closed at 530 on a Wednesday. Why open a franchise if you're not gonna run it? Lack of real management. And it's a wonder why places like chicken fil a are jam packed when the food isn't any better. If you want to run it into the ground just sell it to me.

Was greeted as we walked in by the employees. We placed an order. And it was finished even before we payed for it. The food was good, and the ingredients were fresh. We dined in, it is a small location with a few tables, but was clean. There is a handicapped ramp, which was useful for my fiancé's walker. Overall hood experience. Will go again if in the area in the future.

Very rarely do I write bad reviews but this has to be done. Ordered "lunch" on 7/23. When I opened my "wrap" I notice it was MAJORITY lettuce (I ordered the J.J.B.L.T). I immediately called the store requesting to speak with the manager. Spoke to one the employees & explained the situation. He looks up my order. The first explanation I was given "we're training new staff and we had a lunch rush"....blah, blah. I told him that I wanted a refund cause what I paid for was not what I received. He explains that he'll get in touch with the owner & he/she will reach out...did not happen. Next day, I called again. Spoke to a different employee who claimed to know what was what. I again asked about potentially getting a refund. He goes on to say HE was the one that made my wrap & he REMEMBERS putting 6 slices of bacon on there (mind you I took a picture of it). I politely told him he must be referring to ANOTHER customer's wrap because there was not 6 slices on it. My wrap was mainly lettuce, a slice of tomato, & A SMIDGE of bacon. He goes on to say that they could give me a credit towards another sandwich which I refused. My order was bogus and I highly doubt y'all would get the "credited" one right! I did tell him I took a picture and at first he wanted to see it then changed his mind. I'm big on reviews but sadly I did not read the ones for this location first.....you live & learn. ACCOUNTABILITY! I guess that's not something this establishment cares about seeing that so many other customers have made similar complaints & get them brushed off. 0 out 0-WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!
If you want horrible food with Horrible customer service this is your place .. Michelle is the WORST thing that could’ve happened for this store. I posted a video on Tik Tok where she is using profanity in front of customers and blatantly being disrespectful!!
Can't comment on the atmosphere due the fact that I have never eaten in the restaurant. But I have used the delivery service. Once there was no delivery person. I can understand that if the delivery person was out sick. But after I placed the order I received a call from the store to say that they didn't have a driver. Another time when I ordered, the store didn't have bread to fulfill my order. I guess these are the times we're living in.

This is by far the dirtiest Jimmy John’s I’ve ever seen. There are food and dishes laying everywhere, and mop buckets and dirty towels all over the place. After seeing the condition of where the food is made I turned and walked out and will never be able bring myself to eat there again.

I have ordered from here twice and both times it has taken 2+ hours to receive my order (I am about a mile from the store). I am currently waiting once again while my order has been “out for delivery” for an hour and a half now. So much for “freaky fast”. I have seen others in the reviews had similar experiences so it is sad that no improvements have been made.

This store is a joke. Who ever owns this store, do yourself a favor a fire the entire staff. Every time I order from this location it takes freaking forever. I have been waiting for over 2 hours and still have no received my food…Do yourself a favor and do not order from this location if you want to eat your lunch before dinner.

Terrible. I put in an online deliver order, after an hour an fifteen minutes I called and was told they don’t have any delivery drivers. The order never should have gone through as delivery if they do t have someone available to deliver
