Sean IS THE BEST!! He didn’t even need a notepad he memorized everything, gave us recommendations based of our previous preferences and all this was lovely id definitely recommend
Wonderful experience! Heather and Eddie provided excellent service! Food was phenomenal!
Always have a good experience in these establishments. Originally visited the location in Athens and was hooked on the food! Atmosphere is nice, service has been great all around. Really appreciate the commitment to creating beautiful plates along with great tasting cuisine.
First time visitors to Jinya Ramen Bar Charleston. Greeted by the kitchen staff when we walked in. We tried the tempura Brussels sprouts, chicken chashu bowl and Birria Ramen. Everything was so good! Nothing but empty bowls to show. Sean was on pointe with recommendations of favorites. We will be back!
Food was great and service as GREATER‼️ Timing to wait for food was not long at all and this was my first time here. Recommend 10/10, the noodles was GREAT‼️‼️‼️🥰
Best ramen spot in Charleston and great service. Ace Skylar and Bree are are so delightful
I had high expectations for this place based on the reviews on google and was so excited to try. Ramen was good and the buffalo cauliflower was good as well! But other aspects of our food / apps were pretty disappointing. Between our x2 salad, x2 chicken appetizers that we clearly did not touch at all (bao bun was pretty just alright as well but we picked at it), you would’ve thought that when our server came over to us and said “oh were you not happy with this? / I see you didn’t touch this at all” that they then would’ve gone to management to at least take one or maybe two of these small items off of the bill- salad, fried chicken. We would never ask for that directly, but we did tell her that we really just did not like it, after she asked us about it and we had left all 4 things basically untouched. As a server myself, I know how easy it is just to make things right. Instead, two second later we receive the bill with all 4 items we clearly didn’t touch on there and we felt pretty disappointed about that, because we literally are the kind of people who always finish our food at restaurants.
Our server also disappeared for like 45 minutes after we were done eating. The ramen was fine, but as for other aspects of the rest of the meal, it really made us unhappy with our experience here and regret coming here- especially for the cost, you expect a higher level of service and some degree of ‘making things right’-ness lol.
Edit: I’m disappointed Jinya hasn’t taken the time to respond to this review yet- despite responding to others. Charleston is going to be a hard market for them with this level/quality of service and experience.
The bartender Ace was great! He greeted us immediately and took time to explain the menu and share some of his faves. The food was delicious and the portions are huge. Highly recommend
I LOVE JINYA RAMEN BAR! This restaurant is absolutely amazing. The food and the flavors are fantastic! All of the staff are so patient and kind with all their customers! I am so happy we have JINYA!
I am here in Charleston for a conference and happened upon this happy little spot. The for was Amazing. The kitchen staff was on point with thier communication...but what really made my night was my server Lotus, she was so knowledgeable and personable, that when she told me she had only been there for a week and a half I was floored. I'm not even her parent but that is the level of proud I was. She is impressive, and if I'm ever in town in definitely coming back.

Ordered through DoorDash and went to pickup. No reason why the food wasn’t ready by the time I arrived there all the way from Goose Creek, a 30 minute commute. Had to wait an extra 15 minutes and the lady still ended up chasing me down in the parking lot to bring an item they forgot. Thankfully she realized it before I left. Food wasn’t as good as the Atlanta locations, but I’ll give it another try soon because I do love Jinya.

JINYA Ramen Bar in Charleston is a must-visit for ramen lovers. Their Tonkotsu Black ramen is incredibly rich and flavorful, with tender pork chashu and a perfect balance of garlic and spice. The signature JINYA Bun is a delicious appetizer, featuring melt-in-your-mouth braised pork in a fluffy steamed bun. To finish, the mochi ice cream is the perfect sweet treat.
What truly made the experience unforgettable was our server, Jacob. He was beyond kind, making sure we had everything we needed while keeping such a warm and friendly attitude. He took the time to explain the menu, offer great recommendations, and made us feel so welcome. His attentiveness and genuine kindness made our meal even better. If you’re looking for amazing ramen and outstanding service, JINYA—and Jacob—are the best in town!

I lived in Japan for the first 19 years of my life, so I have a pretty good understanding of authentic Japanese ramen. I got the Original Tonkotsu and the broth is very close to what you would get at a good ramen shop in Japan, but it had way too much garlic. I was tasting and smelling it for days. I'll try a different item next time and hopefully won't run into the same issue, but other than that, it's the best ramen I've had in Charleston so far.

Music was playing too loud, especially given all the hard surfaces in the restaurant. But our server, Jacob, was kind enough to have the volume lowered. Jacob was very attentive and was knowledgeable of all food options. He performed very well as a representative of JINYA.
