John King Grill & Dueling Piano Bar

I’ve been to dozens of dueling piano bars. Nothing has come close to being worse than this place. As soon as we walked in, I noticed the set up of the venue was horrible… however, we gave it a chance because we love dueling pianos. Everything was downhill from that. The staff ill prepared and rude. The set up of the venue made it impossible to enjoy the music (which was actually good). Specifically the is a blondea haired (what I assume was a manager… but acted like a fire day waiter) yelling at patrons… for absolutely no good reason. Again… attend this venue on a Friday or Saturday and you’ll see.

The drinks were watered down and the waitress (probably more a function of management)… was horrendous. But… pay your $10 and walk in and find out for yourself. Really REALLY BAD. ?‍♂️

This was a casual, laid-back place to grab bar food. It was giving divey vibes. Our server was excellent! Some of the best service I've ever had at a restaurant, so kuddos to him. The food was decent. The she crab soup was really good but the chicken bacon ranch wrap I got didn't really do it for me. I was expecting more chicken on it (it was all chopped up with the lettuce and tomato and onion).

Came here for a chill lunch before work. Flew in for the day. First place I went when I landed. Jakob was truly perfect, kind and warm, attentive but not persistent or bothersome. Food was delicious and fast, prices great. Not in town often, but the service and the atmosphere made my whole trip. Give Jakob allll your money!!

This place is the best! Hayden’s crew took care of us each night! We visited there three nights in a row. The music was great and the food was so good that we went back for lunch. Those burgers! ?We will definitely be coming be back just to visit here!

The drinks were good, and so was the service. The guys doing the dueling pianos were entertaining. One was funnier than the other and better at piano, and the other one was better at drums and singing (some songs, though the funny one was pretty good at singing some songs). That's right, they both also played drums on some songs, which is a different twist on dueling pianos to me. It worked, though. It was a Wednesday night, and it was a little empty early on, but they did a good job of keeping us entertained.

Some what good. The burgers are thin. The Charleston has great flavor! The hangover had an over medium egg. Eva on a burger should be over easy so the yolk runs over it for more flavor. The hangover was not good. The Charleston was good! I wouldn’t come back for the food though.

Best Bloody Mary I've had so far in Charleston. The piano show is fantastic and fun, very vibey atmosphere, definitely a must on King St.

We didn't eat here just had drinks. Which were amazingly delicious. Pricey for drinks but well worth it. Our bartender was super friendly and engaging. Kept us laughing the whole time. And hearing the piano upstairs was really cool.

Fun place with such an amazing staff. Everyone was very friendly and the food was excellent. Drinks were also very well made and worth stopping for. If you are near here stop in!
