Waaaaaay to much sauerkraut on the Ruben, barely any meat (meat was delicious, but barely any.) the buffalo chicken sandwich was not crispy, cheese was tasteless.. and service was also mediocre.

Holy crap. The matzah ball soup is pho king delicious. The combo of the pho flavors with more traditional matzah ball base is just so good. I certainly didn't need the rueben in addition to the soup, but wanted to try the two headliners, and glad I got both. The rueben is the best I've had since leaving Boston and New York 24 years ago. Accented with the polish sausage is genius. And the Russian dressing is not just something standard, there was a little kick and helped make the sandwich. I meant to save half for later. That didn't happen. And if you can pin Jacob (chef/owner) down (he's constantly moving and working), he's a fantastic guy and bringing some real new flair to some traditional Jewish food.

The food here is just ok. I have eaten here several times because I work in the complex. The first time, I had a chicken salad sandwich with their potato salad. I wasn't a fan of the chicken salad but did enjoy the german style potato salad. I ordered this because I thought it would be quick, but they forgot my order so it ended up taking a while. I felt like they didn't really care that much that I waited so long. On another visit I had the Reuben sandwich, which also was just ok- the meat wasn't as good as other Reubens that I have had elsewhere. I decided to give it one more try on another day and had the buffalo chicken sandwich. It was really bad- just super dry, probably previously frozen chicken tenders in buffalo sauce with cheese on a hoagie. I had asked for potato salad on the side and got fries. I then asked for some ranch or blue cheese and was told they did not have either. I ate a dry chewy sandwich that day. Given the cost of eating here, I don't think I will be back as there are plenty of other choices in Workshop.

This place is fantastic! I am so happy to have Jewish style food located in the downtown area. The Rueben is to die for! I gaurentee I will have tried everything on the menu in no time and I have no doubts it will be anything less than awesome! Staff and food get 5 stars in my book! Definitely worth checking out and going back.

We are there the other night and my whole family loved it. The pho matzoh ball soup was inspired and the loaded knish and baba ganoush were awesome too. Julius is a cool guy too. Just wish we lived closer.

Got the beet hummus and Reuben. The corned beef almost falls apart, it’s so tender, and you can tell the beets are pickled in house because they taste so fresh. Cool and refreshing. Highly recommend!

I’ve tried multiple things from their menu. My favorite by far was their Reuben and the latkes. The Reuben was thick and the meat was perfect. The latkes, i LOVED the apple chutney on top. The Mac bites were fire! I also felt like the prices were more than fair for the quality of the food and the portions I received. I’ll defiantly be eating there frequently.

Had an amazing lunch today at Julius’ Delicatessan! The Reuben was the best I’ve had in Charleston. Pickles and falafel were tasty. The poutine was delicious and the ramen was very good, especially for the few cold days we’ve had this week. The pierogis with broccoli and vegetable cream sauce was to die for. I see this as a new Charleston staple for the foreseeable future and I will definitely be back soon!
