Visiting from Philly and had Skye as our bartender at this dissertation bar! She is amazing and one of a kind. If you come, you must request her. She gives the best drink and dessert recommendations. Five stars from up north. Go birds. 💚🩅💚

How is this place so popular?! It was terrible! We went in to celebrate a birthday and bought three slices of cake and a slice of the coconut cream pie. The cake was so bad- all three varieties were completely dried out and the blueberry one tasted like a fake, cheap muffin mix. The staff never asked how it was. For a place that advertises itself as a dessert café there's one thing they have to do right- the desserts! The pie was good, I'll give them that, but we dropped over $40 on inedible cake. Don't go here!

Cute little shop with delicious desserts however we also ordered a hor chocolate and macciato to go with a slice of cake. Got the cake without the drinks. Stood waiting for 15 minutes. When I finally asked the girl she had the drinks right next to her the whole time and never tried to hand them out. The macciato was a quarter full and the hot chocolate was cold. Not worth the $20 spent

Kaminskys was the first dessert restaurant I went to in Charleston. I talked it up so much! How cute, intimate & nice the staff were. I talked about it to my coworkers and friends but they all mentioned how there were better places in the area. A few months ago, I brought my young brother and mother on a Friday night and it was understandably busy!

I ordered an espresso martini and asked if they could put Baileys in it, to which the young server (I won’t name drop) said “We already put Kahloua in it” (not the same as Baileys) but I still said “Oh, okay!” and drank it the way I didn’t prefer it because I didn’t want to be a hassle on a busy Friday. My brother got a hot chocolate & my mother got a coffee. When the server came back to take our food order, my mother, not being from this city, asked what the server recommended and she replied verbatim “I’m not really sure. I don’t eat here because I’m skinny” I think she was trying to be funny? but my family and I had no idea how reply to that. Just kind of saying “Okay?” We ended up not ordering any dessert being that we were uncomfortable even though none of us are overweight & live an active lifestyle. So we just finished our drinks and left.

Recently, I had my sister and her fiancĂ©e come to town for date night and we wanted some dessert after dinner so naturally I recommend Kaminskys! The four of us got there an hour before closing and it was completely empty but I knew we were gonna be in and out of there. Immediately we felt like we were not welcomed but we brushed it off and sat at the bar. They were out of my first choice of dessert, then my second choice, and then my third and at that point I gave up. We all ordered an espresso martini but mine with Baileys and the bartender said the same thing as last time and I realized it was the same blonde girl that served me before, no problem. The rest of my group finished their drinks pretty quick and I said “oh man! I haven’t even touched mine” The young bartender chimed in and said “yeah you better finish that quick, we’re closing” it was latest 11:30. I’ve worked f&b for almost 10 years so I understand wanting to get out asap and I understand joking with guests, trust but that comment only made me and the rest of my group even more uncomfortable. So I quickly finished my drink & we left. I told my group that I’d never bring this place business again. Later my sister made it known to me that they felt rushed even before the blonde made that comment.

I used to love Kaminskys! I loved the vibe, the desserts & how small it is but it made a complete 180 in the past year. The past servers and bartenders before were so sweet and welcoming and always made it a good time no matter if it was busy or dead! I’m not one to write reviews at ALL but this place that I recommended so often ended up really disappointing me.

The cakes were delicious and the blonde girl, I think her name might have been sky, was amazing. Such a great attitude and worker.

Absolutely delicious. Such a cute, low lit spot, making it perfect for a date night. Don’t sleep on their chocolate cake slices!

We stop here every time we’re in Charleston and usually love it. The best milkshakes! Went in last night to order something to go and was never even acknowledged. While waiting, I watched the boy making milkshakes hitting the milkshake cup against a glass to get it out. He ended up braking the glass with the milkshake in it and started cussing about how cheap the glasses are. He dumped the milkshake from the broken glass into a new glass and served it. I ended up leaving.

We came in pretty late and the staff was still very welcoming despite closing soon, a younger gentleman named nate working the milkshakes especially stood out he was super friendly and quick in making our shakes which were INCREDIBLE. Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area

This was so disappointing! It was not that busy, but the staff behind the counter were so disorganized that it took over 20 minutes to order and receive my to-go order, a simple slice of cake. Then, the cake itself was stale and dry, with zero flavor other than the super cloyingly sweet frosting-which didn't help the dry, stale cake at all. A waste of a half hour and $10.

I’ve been visiting Kaminsky’s for years and bringing along visiting family members and friends. We’ve always enjoyed the drinks and desserts. What we don’t appreciate is any sort of discrimination. Watching staff members openly mock a plus-sized couple that were perfectly well-mannered and happy to be there was super disappointing. Sadly, we had already ordered our drinks before the instance but just seeing it made me and my guests lose our appetites and not wish to return. We’ve really loved all the moments we’ve had at their establishment but can’t bring our business there if people cannot be respectful of paying customers no matter the size, race, sexuality, and any other creeds.
