Kickin' Chicken

Decent place to watch a game. They add a 3.5 % “surcharge” to every check. The server explained that the surcharge went to straight toast which cannot be true unless it is a surchange to cover transaction fees. i am guessing they did not explain the surcharge correctly to the server.

The West Ashley location on Orange Grove Rd (?) has been recently remodeled. We went on a late Sunday afternoon. It was busy, but we were seated within five minutes of arriving. The food was hot and fresh and the servers were friendly, fast, and knowledgeable about the menu.

Went to the Summerville, SC location and when the bill came I was charged that 3.5% cover charge. I requested a manager to come and explain what this charge was for? Manager politely told me it was to help cover the replacement of the dishes when they needed them. I told her that it wasn't the consumers place to pay for the upkeep in their restaurant. If the restaurant needed to up date their dishes they should have figured out a way to do that. I told her that I questioned this same problem over a year ago and she said they have been doing this surcharge for over 3 years. I told manager that no other restaurant was doing this and if people didn't allow this then it would be stopped. The manager took this off my bill. I know that I will not be returning to this establishment until they correct this matter.

First time going and everything was really good. We had 2 different chicken sandwiches and pork carnitas tacos. I do wish the tacos could come with a side of slaw to add some crunch but everything was very good. We also had the shrimp appetizer and that was really good too. (Forgot to take a pick of that) I like that it’s spacious and not overly loud so you can hold a conversation without having to speak so loudly. The service was good and would definitely go back.

UNFORGIVABLE wings 🍗

This is a little story all about Kickin Chicken the restaurant. Went there for dinner yesterday With my daughter and my grandson . When the bill came ,My daughter looked at it And said They've added a service charge, She doesn't know how I'm paying my bill She doesn't know if I'm paying with cash or credit card .I said well that's kind of crazy So just point it out to her when she comes back let her know we're paying with cash and to ask her to take it off! So the waitress comes to the table My daughter points it out ,And she said oh no That is a service fee That's aa service fee for what, We're paying with cash. Well kickin' chicken does not care how you pay credit card debit card or cash, they now charge you a service fee I told her I understood the credit card because credit card companies charge the business a fee for using the service ,please explain how using cash cost you anything.she said believe me nobody's happy about it it comes from corporate all the money goes to corporate. I said well that's just wrong especially if I'm paying with cash, she agreed then she proceeded to tell me that the waitresses get a service charge on their tips, now remember our President is in the process of getting a bill passed so they don't have to pay taxes on their tips, but kicking chicken charges them a service charge on their tip money that goes straight to corporate headquarters! I'm not sure what makes me madder them charging me to eat there or charging their employees to work there but I told the waitress that I enjoyed my food and her service was great but to pass it on up to the top that I will not be eating there again as long as I'm charged a service charge, and she's charged a service charge. I think everyone should feel the same because if we don't stop this before you know it when you pull up into a gas station to put down a dollar to pay a Coke you're going to be paying a service charge... if I remember correctly it's 3.5% of the bill they're going to charge you to eat there well there's plenty of restaurants right on down the street so I think I'm going to start charging 10% service fee to the restaurant just for coming in to eat.

Awesome customer service enjoyed the service

I got the kids Chicken nuggets and they said that there were 5 nuggets but I got 8 AND I got a surprise fried pickle!

The waitress( a mature lady) gave this place a 5 star review with her caring nature and attentive service. She seemed to appreciate the tip I gave her. She was responsive and friendly!

Actually some of the worst food I’ve ever had. Extremely low quality, covered in grease, and everyone that went with me is feeling the effects of it. The one on Romney Street was good every time I’ve gone, this one was extremely disappointing.

The food was awesome, and the service was top-notch.

Absolute loved the food here. It was our first visit here! Hoping to return!
