Been following Chef Nikko since his Mansueta's pop up days and very proud of him and all he has accomplished thus far! Kultura definitely did not disappoint! The Sisig Carbonara and Bistek were very good and the Ube latte was the icing on the cake! We will definitely be back for another dinner visit but also looking forward to trying their brunch. Kultura is small but very intimate with the kitchen staff and Chef Nikko himself up close and personal working their magic. Highly recommend!

This was the best meal we enjoyed in Charleston, hands down. We enjoyed the arroz caldo and the sisig carbonara. They were both flavorful and absolutely delicious. We enjoyed the lost + found and Kokomo cocktails with our meals. The service was also exceptional. We can't wait to go back!

Unfortunately, this was my least favorite meal I’ve had since I moved to Charleston. The service was good but the food was just not and we still spent $100 on two people. I usually clear my plate at most restaurants but at this place I didn’t finish my food. The music was very loud - they were blasting Ariana Grande which ruined the dinner vibe. There was also a strange smell that I couldn’t get over and it lingered even after we left the restaurant. This was for a birthday dinner and so we wanted to try something new but moving forward we will be sticking to what we know.

I came in for my 5:00 reservation for 1 at 4:58 and was told at the door they were not yet open before I could even fully step inside. Naturally, I turned around to wait outside and gave them a few minutes. This made me feel very uncomfortable and I contemplated not coming back inside at all. At 5:03 I was sat in the back right next to the restroom where the server then assumed I’d be eating before she asked what I was interested in for the evening. And then continued to push food as I was waiting for my drink. Again this made me uncomfortable as I was only intending on having a few cocktails. I only had one drink because of the server’s insistence for me to get food. I ordered the mushroom toast, which was OK, nothing special. I had only budgeted to spend about $30 for the evening and I wanted to try a different cocktaill on the menu but decided against it because it was past my budget and I honestly just wanted to leave at this point, bummer.I was very excited to treat myself to this but it felt like I had no control over my own experience from the moment I walked in…out… and back inside again. All in all, the flavors and concept are there but the establishment seems wildly unprepared for service as they already had single counts of menu items before 5:30. And we’re missing things like herbs and lemon juice in their Garde Mange/ ready to eat(salad) station. I overheard all of this sitting at the bar. Where they discussed it in front of me.Being a proud Charleston native, I initially wanted to tell my coworker and his girlfriend, who are from The Philippines, about Kultura. After my experience tonight, I now I fear they may also not have the most welcoming experience. Which I have been told is far more uncomfortable for someone traveling from outside the country.Hope they can figure it out.

Incredible dining experience, from the presentation of their unique drink menu to their authentic meal menu. The drinks were works of art and tasted as amazing as they looked. The entrees were delicious and tasted like nothing we've ever eaten before. Modern and yet comfortable atmosphere created a perfect place to enjoy a meal with friends, family, date, or solo.

Excellent delicacies was presented by an equally exceptional and talented chef in the form of Chef Nikko -- a fellow kababayan, who's proudly making his mark and presence known through his indelible representation of modern-day Filipino food(s).

Great newish place to welcome us back to Charleston for the weekend! We got a bar seat…but then essentially everything here is a bar seat. The whole place only has room for maybe 30 diners including the patio, but it’s a nice feel. We watched dish after dish roll out of the kitchen, so knew what looked good before we ordered. Went with the carbonara, tofu with mung beans (monggo at tokwa), and mushroom toast. Small but focused menu, these Filipino flavors are super unique and intense in a perfect way. Everything was seasoned really well, so every bite was delicious. Carbonara - creamy and salty and good chew to the pasta. The mung bean puree just tasted like the best black-eyed peas - wouldn’t be mad if these got spread on everything from bread to pork to noodles. Really hard to pick a favorite, but the mushroom toast was crunchy and outrageously flavorful, everything balanced with salt and acidic pickle and fresh tomatoes. I won’t even talk about the drinks because the food was so so good, but there are a couple showy cocktails worth getting if you want a good picture. Purple ube abounds. Overall, unique, focused, and flavorful menu in a small space that’s both upscale and casual at the same time. This is probably my new recommendation for people coming into town, I’m glad Kultura exists.Parking: Tight street parking in this neighborhood. You can find a spot if you cruise for a minute, usually more over on Cannon. Couple city garages nearby a short walk away.

An absolute gem! I took a cooking class with this chef last year and was impressed with his amazing talent and modest demeanor despite competing and winning television cooking shows and multiple awards. His restaurant is a mash up with pastries from Baguette Magic ( a favorite spot!) and Asian inspired dishes from Nikko. Incredible food, service and presentation!

I got halo halo for my drink. It was sooo good! The food is served family styled. So we decided to get a couple of dishes. We got the sisig carbonara, salmon curry, mushroom toast, monggo at tokwa and banana cake. EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING! so I suggest to get everything lol! The space was cozy and cute! Definitely recommend making reservations before going!

The four of us had an AMAZING experience at Kultura! Hands down it was very surprisingly one of the best meals I have had downtown! My wife and I honestly were super skeptical about the menu because we had not tried any of it. The four of us ordered almost the entire menu( all large dishes) and the Tocino!!!the tocino was IMMACULATE! IT had rice krispies on top that certainly threw me off but that first bite took my tongue on a journey! The Sisig Carbonara was amazing we ordered two! The Bisteak was great and even the Coconut Grits with Scallops was phenomenal!Thank you for a good time Chef!@TheeHolyCityConcierge
