Awesome place to eat, I had no idea it was right next to the pour house. The service was awesome, the suggestions were better and I know I’ll be making a 2nd return maybe even a 3rd. The atmosphere was great and they had a beautiful bar and more seating outside which is covered my plants so you’d never know there would be seating. It also blocks the traffic, I would have to say I did love the drinks but I’d rather a cider beer. But I managed and overall an awesome place.

Wow! Alex is the absolute best. We were excited about the hot tomato summer special, and Alex guided us through the menu and also recommended so many delicious items. Wonderful service and wonderful food. The host is in the cool green skirt was also accommodating of our large party. It's always a special experience here. You can't go wrong at Kwei Fei! <3

Brendan was so nice and informative! He makes the best drinks and genuinely seems like the best bartender and person to hang out with while you eat. Amazing food as a bonus. Will be back. Thanks for everything.

Love it here! The spices are perfection!! Their spicy food is the best in town!!

This place is awesome. Anyone who gives a bad review doesn't realize they're getting authentic sehzuan fire, and they want some stupid catonenese takeout. Respect. I'll be back 😁

HOURS! We would legitimately drive hours for what is quite possibly the TASTIEST meal in Charleston.

I've lived in Charleston for about 20 years and have had all types of cuisines and my wife and I agree that Kwei Fei would be the last meal we would ever want!

If you don't like spicy, flavorful and umami, this place is probably not for you. (Ok. That don't HAVE to make it spicy... 🥵 We've brought our little kids here and had them dial it back a bit. But it's just not the same)

If those flavors are your jam, you won't be disappointed. Honestly, you might find it hard to go to any other restaurant, ever.

Every time we eat here, it gets even better. Impeccable.

Staff is amazing. Sit at the bar and be amazed at watching both the kitchen staff hustle making perfect food and Gina make some amazingly beautiful and flavorful drinks.

- not pictured: Wings- they look like every chicken wing you've ever seen but I can guarantee that they easily taste better than any you've ever eaten.

- Dry Fried Green Beans: perfect addition to the eggplant.

Worst restaurant experience ever.
They have no idea what customer service is or should be.

Even the response from the owner should tell you what kind of people run this place. Its just sad.

I normally don’t review places but I feel like Kwei Fei is well deserving.I am a chef and have been to some of the top restaurants in the U.S/world and this has to be one of my top favorites! The moment I walked in and saw the reviews written on the walls, then sitting down listening to teen mortgage I knew it was going to be a great experience. The food was extremely flavorful, the spice and Sichuan are heavily focused but very well balanced, especially with the cocktails (I highly recommend the Black Hole Sun). The whole ambiance of the place being upscale with the punk rock undertone, reflects perfectly in both the front and back of the house. I am unfortunately from out of town, but will definitely be back anytime I visit Charleston again, highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique dining experience.
