Ladles Soups James Island

Fantastic soups and I wish they still had the store over in West. Ashley! Buffalo chicken soup and a ladles grilled cheese sandwich out of this world!

This business establishment needs to treat Uber and doordashers better with a more pleasant attitude. If it's not busy it's not business, there's no reason for the associates to be rude to the drivers.

I called to ask what for ingredients in a soup because of my dietary restrictions. The person who answered the phone was short and rude. They asked me what I was trying to stay away from - I responded by asking them to simply tell me the ingredients. They said “no I can’t, bye” and hung up the phone. Ridiculous.

I stopped by twice last week at this location. Once was at a later lunch time, around 2 pm. They were still fairly busy as I pulled up to the drive thru window. I waited probably 10 minutes after ringing the bell twice and never had anyone stop to tell me it would be a few minutes. I ended up driving off. I did try again at night and it was much faster. The only down side was the turkey chili did taste like it had been in a warmer all day. It was way darker and tasted a little different. Still good though.

I would give no stars really…
Middle aged woman is miserable, has an attitude and didn’t greet me. Acted as if she didn’t want customers. Hid behind the window with it barely cracked horrible look on her face.
Last time for me for sure! If you don’t like your job quit! Not doing anyone any favors by being there and being miserable. I have read so many reviews of the same nature.
Do better! Kindness goes a long way!
I spoke to another young girl who finally came to take my money, and I let her know that the woman was extremely rude and she said she knows and she apologized for her and spoke of how rude she really is and that she is the owner pretty sad! I feel so bad for anybody that works there for her. It must be daily Mental abuse.

Left out food on my order. Drive back to get the four sandwiches that were left out and they bring three sandwiches out. When I explain four was missing he very rudely offered to make another one but I left. If that’s the service you get, keep that grilled cheese! It just cost you a family that eats there quite a bit.

I have always loved coming to ladles and have never reviewed it because the atmosphere and service wasn’t the best. Well they recently hired some new people who make the atmosphere so comfortable, warm and welcoming. I am very impressed with the changes in personnel they made. Now my kids and I come every week for dinner! The strawberry mozzarella salad is my favorite and my kids love the grilled cheese!

Well shoot. Whats happened? This place used to be way better but after visiting today this could be my last trip to this establishment. The lady at the front counter is very short with customers who ask questions. She is not friendly at all. Asked to have the bread toasted & was very sternly informed that the bread is already toasted. Well sorry for asking because the menu board on the wall did not say toasted. No soda. Soda machine is out of order and the lady at the counter was very sure to tell us no one will come work on it so it is what it is for now. Was hard to sit here thru a meal and listen to her.

What a disappointment. I ordered a large Caesar Salad to go. The woman who waited on me was having what appeared to be a bad day. She did not greet me or say anything to me. I placed my order, she took my money, and walked away. I waited almost 15 minutes for my salad. Other people came in, ordered, and received their meals before I finally received mine.

Imagine my disappointment when I got home and opened it up, ready for a delicious lunch, only to discover that it was a mixed green salad with grated parmesan cheese and croutons. Caesar salad is made with romaine lettuce not mixed greens. Offering Caesar salad dressing to a mixed greens salad does not a Caesar salad make.

Then I opened the bread that came with my salad. It had seeds all over it. Many of us cannot have seeds (or mixed greens) due to dietary issues.

It is important to state on the menu on the wall that it a Caesar salad with mixed greens. It would also help to say that seeds are on the bread. I had noticed that the patrons were all older ladies. I am sure there were others who have to be careful due to dietary issues.

I was terribly disappointed that I had to throw away a $10.00 salad that would have fed me for two days. I will not be back because I cannot take a chance on the food served.

I always get the Garden Vegetable soup from here, which has been delicious and my favorite. This last time I got the vegetable soup, it was salty, full of corn, no carrots or tomatoes. It had the taste of tomato paste or sauce, and not as flavorful as before. Miss the original taste

First time to this shop. The staff was awesome. The food was really good. I got a turkey Ruben sandwich with homemade tomatoe basil soup. The soup is made fresh every day by a chef. Best soup i have had in a long time. My niece got their three cheese grilled sandwiche with pesto sauce. She said it was very good. I tried their lemon chicken soup, a sample so good with tiny dumpling. I would recommend this shop for sure.

Love this spot! I don’t know the guys name, but I think he may be the manager. He’s always so helpful, kind, and provides great service. The Baron von ladles is a favorite of mine, and I absolutely love their soups! Reasonably priced as well.
Highly recommend.

Terrible service EVERY time. Either you dont pay your phone bill or dont care to make sales for pickup. Every single time it's like I'm bothering this establishment to order food.
