Love the food. Don’t love the staff serving it.
Most times I don’t get the points for purchase because staff don’t know how to add them to my phone number. Or their system is down. Why have the program?? Today, Saturday, the burly waitress wouldn’t even try. The restaurant was nearly empty, she had the time to do it. When I asked for a lemon for ice tea, I was met with two surly responses. Ladles is on the road to a loss of customers.

Got a Togo order live about a block away got a turkey bacon griller and some dumpling soup. The soup was like dumpling paste dumplings where dissolved. And the turkey sandwich had half the jar of mayo on it before it was grilled to a burnt buttery mess. Won't be going back

We were looking so forward to eating here! When we walked in we were not greeted by the middle aged woman behind the counter. She seemed so irritated that we came in. It was about 1pm and no one else inside.
Because it was our first time we had a couple of questions. This really pissed her off. When I asked if the chicken salad was more popular than the egg salad, she put her hands on her hips and said "I don't know, nor do I care. Are you going to order?" Before I could answer she then said " And it's going to take some time no matter what you order, don't think it's going to be fast!"
So yeah we just said " ok, thanks" and left.
Quality employees matter. When you suck your business does too.

Owner is very rude. In my opinion, business owner should be kind to their clientele. This is not the case for this business. Good food, but would recommend eating somewhere else.

I love the concept of drinking soup with a sandwich and feel like at home, the owner's family is so nice

Was there today. The cashier told me I had to use a fork to get lemon for my water because of covid.

Ok, I can understand. But then I see the Kush worker mixing food without gloves. She told me “It doesn't matter because when the food is cooked all bacteria will be killed”! Then she got more verbally aggressive! I didn't help by saying “You don't need to be a B”! My mistake and I own it.

Then the kitchen worker comes and gets in my face! They/owners did. Nothing to stop him. They finally asked me to leave and I did.

A few minutes later I thought about it and went back in to apologise for my part. They screamed for me to get out! I take care of a 91 year old person and I don't want to bring unhealthy bacteria!! Plus healthcodes!!

Not the first time I've seen her be rude to people.

I have only had food to go. I find the soups salty, some more than others, and the others tasty. Had the pretzel BLT, and that was really good. I don't normally eat BLTS!

I was excited to eat here as ours closed in Summerville. I always get half a salad and half potato soup meal. Yesterday will be the last time I ever buy anything from them. I ordered my meal and sat down to eat my soup. The entie 16oz. had 1 potatoe in it. I took it back up to them. The older lady working snatched it from me and threw it in the trash. She then proceeded to snatch a new bowl scoop potatoes violently with a little broth. My bowl was now basically all potatoes. I paid $14.76 for this meal which included a $2 tip. I was treated so rudely by her that I will NEVER GO BACK! All I wanted was what I paid for! Sorry that was too much to ask! I didn't deserve her attitude. Bye! Have the day you deserve!

I have been to this ladles many times and only have received passive aggressive attitude. the food is always great but if there was another soup place on james island I would never step foot in ladles again. I understand that you guys get busy but no need to have attitude just because i went through the drive through. If it’s that big of an inconvenience then get rid of it don’t take it out on customers.

Food is delicious. I went there on my lunch break a few times, and they weren't terribly busy. The lady taking my order seemed annoyed with me for asking questions.

I love Ladles on Folly. The food I order is always so fresh and delicious, plus, the cooks and servers are very friendly and kind. The lady at the cash register is always a mix of helpful, cantankerous, kindhearted, and grumpy, just like your favorite grouchy aunt! The soups are hot and tasty and their salad combos are mouthwatering. Their BLT is my go-to - fresh crispy cold lettuce and tomato, and a mountain of delicious bacon. The baked potato soup is divine, too. They provide sides of chives, cheese and bacon bits; however, the bacon bits sometimes taste like oily burnt scrapings from the griddle. Just a tiny tweak for an otherwise absolutely wonderful neighborhood restaurant! I give it: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

Do yourself a favor and hit the Teeter!
We order online, and head to the window. We are greeted with the flattest tone of what feels like someone who just absolutely does not want to be there. Matter of fact, she may have just given a head nod, like yea, whatchu want..
After waiting about 7-10 minutes, and letting another vehicle go through. I finally went in to check on our food. Used the pick up window because we are on lunch, and kind of in a hurry... To my dismay, there they are, just sittin there on the counter. I point to the bag, the same lady asks if it's mine.. I said, I hope so. She mentioned, yea, that guy will not move, never does.!.
At this point, I am just happy we got our grub and heading home.
I get in my office, sit down with all my fixins.. Open the little box, and... Mini sandwiches is what I have. 2 ity bity, cut in half sandwiches. All this for $24.
Ugggghhhh.
Get back in the car. Head back to a Ladles. I pull up to the window. She says, what's wrong. I say these are really small. She opens one, throws it back in the bag. Starts to tell someone something then closes the window.
Another 4-5 minutes goes by with no explanation, until the window opens to say here you are. You might want to check the size. We just went through an issue where we kept getting the wrong size bread...
Not finished..
So I open this, what is to be the best sammy ever! Mainly because by now, we are starved, and a bit frustrated, maybe even a little hangry.
Now, I am not, nor claim to be a sandwich expert. It sure does seem like my previous sandwiches ingrediants were thrown into a bigger toasted bun. I am totally fine with this. I know what frustration looks like... The person who gave my bun the What for, should probably see a therapist. Like someone got mad at my bread and went to squishy town on it.
So morale of the story? You want a big, beautiful, and inexpensive sammy? Go to Harris Teeter for like under $6, and get a foot long.
