I stopped into Legend Deli on King Street and was pleasantly surprised by how good everything was. The vibe is casual but welcoming, and the staff had that perfect mix of friendly and efficient that makes you feel taken care of without slowing things down.
I ordered one of their signature sandwiches, and it was stacked just right—fresh ingredients, great bread, and bold flavors that actually work together instead of competing. You can tell they put real thought into their combinations. Portion size was generous without being over the top.
The only reason I’m not giving the full five stars is that the wait was a little longer than expected, but to be fair, the place was busy and clearly popular. Once the food arrived, it was absolutely worth it.
Overall, Legend Deli is a solid choice if you’re on King Street and craving something hearty, fresh, and a little different from the usual lunch spots. I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu.

One of my favorite finds in Charleston. So good we had to go back twice during our trip. Delicious, fresh-tasting food and ultra nice staff. Service is very quick and there's space to dine in. We had the Reuben and the Legend sandwiches, then the smash burgers. I honestly think those were the best smash burgers I've ever had! Looking forward to visiting the area again so I can return here!

Vibes immaculate, food delicious! Had the breakfast burrito and OG bagel sandwich. Best breakfast burrito I have had. Bagel sandwich delicious too, bagel was soft and chewy which I loved. Staff was so warm and helpful, clearly love what they do and it shows in the food. An epic selection of hot sauces too. Will be back next time we’re in Charleston!
Best breakfast burrito ever. Restaurants either over think it or under think it. They found the happy medium. Simple and delicious. If you’re a foodie or you appreciate pop-culture, go to the bathroom and check out the hilarious artwork on the wall.

1st time here, we decided to get food for the road and heading back home. Hands down the best breakfast burrito I’ve had! The GOAT was also good. The accidentally left out one of our sandwiches but I still give them 5 stars. We will be back. We appreciate the gluten free and celiac options.
