Went to the Pour House with my wife and a friend that lives nearby. What a find! I did not have any food there, but the drinks were very good, and the band was fantastic. We went on Sunday to see the "Motown Throwdown" and it was a blast. Kanika Moore was fantastic on vocals! Mike on sax and keyboard was a master as was the lead guitar player. Great vibes and a wonderful musical experience featuring small groups covering most brands of the contemporary musical genre. Frankly, I don't know most of the artists, but I thoroughly enjoyed Dallas Baker and his Bluegrass sound. At the suggestion of staff members at Pour House, I booked tickets for a Pink Floyd revival concert in mid-January. My family was surprised I knew of Pink Floyd.
The Charleston Pour House on Maybank Highway on James Island is a great place to catch live music and get some drinks in a laid back atmosphere. I have enjoyed just about every live event I have attended here as the venue is the perfect size to get a really good concert experience.
