Never got to try their food, which I am sure is great. Called them to ask if they carried a certain type of cake and they said yes, checked their website for their hours, and decided to drive in same day to get the cake. After driving all the way out to the bakery, I find they are closed due to an unexpected issue. This was not posted on their website and their person over the phone mentioned nothing to me about this. I have now lost a part of my day and will need to call and drive around to other bakeries. Again, I am sure the bakery is great but I am very unhappy with how they handled this particular issue today.

Usually I have only positive to say about the service and have ordered over 5 cakes from this team. They usually are great and over deliver. I booked them 1.5 months before a surprise 40th birthday to find out they are only giving me a cake with frosting similar to what you can pickup at Publix. Super disappointed to learn this 2 days before the event. Hopefully their communication improves in the future for their custom cake orders.

I have ordered over 5 cakes from the team and have always raved about them. I booked a custom cake for a surprise 40th 1.5 months before the event for me to find out two days before the event that they will be giving me a cake that just has frosting like what you can pickup at Publix with nothing custom at all. The communication and timeliness was sub par and I’m disappointed because I have no time to find an alternative. When a customer uses you for every event and sends you referrals a little more communication would be great. Really bummed to now have an event staple not be delivered.

Great bakery and sweet shop in West Ashley. We popped in to grab something and were very impressed. In store made ice cream with a ton of good flavors. They also have cookies, cakes, etc. Everything that we tried was top notch. If you are this way definitely stop in and treat yourself.

I have been coming here for many many years. And it’s always one of my favorite places to come for dessert. I have bought mini pastries for birthdays and other occasions here. I came in tonight with my dog before I had dinner at the James tonight and whoever was working was so short and unfriendly it t just made the whole experience, not not worth the delicious Keylime pie that I get. I hope you treat your customers friendlier In the future. Kindness and a smile goes along way. After tonight I don’t think I will come back anymore.
We needed a last minute cake and LB came through for our very special celebration! They have many different flavors and styles of cakes to choose from, but we opted for Boston Cream Pie cake and it was AMAZING! We couldn’t decide on size, but their staff actually suggested quarter sheet as it fits more fridges. We had no idea what the fridge would be at our rental and they were spot on…it fit perfectly! Cake itself was so moist and you can tell from scratch and finest ingredients. Just the right amount of sweetness and the custard filling was perfect as well. Thank you for making our celebration perfect!
