Outstanding experience. Unpretentious - all about terrific French food, creatively made and laid out. May be some of the best service we've experienced and we've travelled extensively. Thank you to our waitress on Wed April 3, who's name now escapes me. And to top it off, a GREAT value. A true gem.

Absolutely incredible meal from beginning to end! We came to Charleston for vacation in large part for the food and this was an absolute highlight of an already incredible trip. Maison will be a mandatory stop every time we are here. The onion soup en croute was one of the most creative and delicious takes on the classic I have ever had. All of the entrees were incredible. The monkfish was spectacular and rabbit and chicken my son and wife ordered were fantastic as well. Couldn't have been more surprised when the dessert topped it all. Warm fresh baked Madelines were the best I've ever tasted and the almond crème was literal heaven. Couldn't recommend more highly.

This place is unassuming but spectacular, and Ali our Server was probably the best server we have ever experienced anywhere ever! She made our dinner at Maison's unforgettable!

First time dining, will not be the last! Entrees were superbly prepared and ample (rabbit en croute, flounder). The accompaniments were imaginative, fresh & very flavor-filled. The wine list complements the menu & is explained by very knowledgeable staff. Desserts will be experienced on our next visit. Looking forward to patio dining as well! Go! You won't be disappointed!

By far, our absolute best meal in Charleston! The server was extremely helpful in explaining the various dishes! I would highly recommend if you want an amazing meal in Charleston! I can't wait to return! It was a fun experience and lovely atmosphere!

The very best dinner I have had recently. Beautifully prepared meal, staff was friendly and the restaurant was very quaint. I had the steak tartare for app and Monkfish for main course. Spouse had the steak and fries - omg the fries are too die for!!!!

Great menu to choose from. The Salmon Rillettes were so delicious I could eat them everyday. Beautifully presented food. We had a great boottle of Champagne I had never heard of, but was luscious. Service was great although for my taste almost too much information.

We always feel like a million bucks when we dine at Maison. The greeting, the table, knowing our drink order, smiles all around, exquisite food, the fond hellos... And then last night after bad very recent experiences at two other restaurants, you telling the four bozos to STFU and sit down. Perfect night. Thank you. As always grateful for wonderful night.

We both had the duck confit and it was delightful. It was tender, moist, flavorful and above all was innovative in the nuanced spicing, the foie gras reduction and the perfect French lentils. Will definitely be back.

My two companions and I had an incredible dining experience. Each dish was intensely flavorful and most were imaginative twists on traditional French recipes. Our waiter described the dishes perfectly and we were glad we took his advice. The broth our clam appetizer was cooked in was so good we would have been glad to have it as soup. The French onion appetizer was a revelation - a croquette filled with onion soup reduction was onion soup on steroids.

Went w a couple friends. Very low key atmosphere. Small. Not fancy. Plain wood tables and booth. A little early so had drink on patio. Asked the waiter what he would recommend. He said the pate, foie gras and escargot were old school and nothing new. Recommended some different options for apps that sounded good. We went w the "old school" ordering all three. All excellent. Plan was steak and frites but there was a rabbit pie. Waiter said go w the pie. All three of us did. Excellent!!! Mild, not gamey. Nice mix of veg in the pie w a nice sauce and puffed pastry top. Deserts were fine. Maybe I'm not a big desert guy. Pricey. You will rack up a tab. But I was back there six nights later w my daughter and we both had the rabbit. And the old school apps. Did try the tartar. It was OK. And we added the frites both times. Dip em in the pie. Excellent. Highly recommend. One of my new favorites!!!

We had a great time here, it was our anniversary and I noted that and my wife and me were surprised with a glass of champagne when greeted by our waiter Nathan. The food was delicious and the recommendation of wine to pair with my food was spot on, truly enjoyable.

One of our very favorite places in Charleston. Food and drinks are so fresh and interesting, staff is perfect mix of friendly and efficient while leaving you to enjoy your evening. A gem of a place!

Such a great spot for a special meal or a weeknight dinner. This our go to spot for the best French food in Charleston. To all of you locals out there — there's no King street goings-on here, if you know what I mean.

Always delightful and delicious. This time I had the astounding leek and potato appetizer, foie gras with a bit of apple butter, and a fried flounder slider. All this washed down by a yummy citrus mocktail. Jonathan's service was as always friendly, attentive, and helpful. I always look forward to returning to Maison.
