We had an experience that is becoming so familiar in the city of Charleston now. Food influencers being treated like royalty.

We dined as a group of five with one person‘s birthday being celebrated. It started out well enough, Andrew was our waiter and was very friendly. The evening went down the drain when a table of eight was sat next to us. From that point on Andrew lost any interest in serving our table and totally fawned over the eight top. There were missing items, no silverware as our entrées were delivered, nothing for the birthday person, and just a general disregard for providing us anything remotely close to decent service. To his credit, Tanner, the manager on duty, tried to make it right by reducing the bill. While I appreciate that I would’ve much rather had good service than some money off my bill.

This was my 3rd time to be here in 1.5 yrs. The food was fabulous but the service was lacking. Andrew was our waiter, which started out good, but totally changed once an eight top got seated next to us. There was one girl next to me that never stopped typing on her laptop. We assumed they were influencers of some type. The service dropped completely after that. We did not have silverware when our main course was delivered. They forgot my husband’s salad and they forgot one of the sides. We had to ask for a dessert menu, but then decided not to order because I was so Sidetracked by the woman typing on her laptop next to me (for almost an hour). Who goes to a higher end restaurant and nonstop types on their laptop? The chefs needs to to be commended because the food was fabulous. I would not go back though because of the service and atmosphere. There’s plenty more good restaurants in Charleston.

Great food and even better service! The atmosphere is welcoming and in a brighter environment than your typical darkly lit steakhouse. It’s become a staple for celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, etc!

Exceptional. Upscale restaurant- flawless execution on service. Great menu for beef and fish lovers. Table service is clearly one of their top priorities without being overwhelming. Bring your Amex, it will be worth it.

My date was sick and couldn't keep our brunch date. Since it was a new decade birthday for me, I went alone and had a wonderful time!! I sat in a bar booth and had fun interacting with the very interesting, knowledgeable server, who also was an adventurous cook at home. I sampled new things and compared dishes with other diners as they were leaving. It is my new favorite restaurant in Charleston! The interior is pretty, cheerful and bright. The oyster / bone marrow was elegant. So many good dishes. Their sister restaurant, The James, is also wonderful! It's not as upscale, but delicious, non-the-less! Somebody is doing something right!!

Stellar on all accounts. The oyster and bone marrow starter is excellent. Even a simple g&t has a unique craft tonic I looked up and can’t even get in the states. Jerry at the bar provided impeccable service. Perfection.

Really one of the best restaurants we have been in. They have a well-trained staff, incredible steaks, generous portions and lots of extras! They check off every box. A very beautiful restaurant. The decor is classic elegance.

My husband and I visited this restaurant for the first time this evening to celebrate our anniversary. We had heard wonderful things and came in with high hopes, but unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations—especially for a restaurant of this caliber.

The evening started off promising. The cocktails were excellent, and our appetizers were beautifully presented and full of flavor. However, things began to decline as the meal went on. We ordered the porterhouse medium rare, but it arrived well done. It was also served while our appetizer plates were still on the table and without steak knives, which made the experience feel a bit disorganized.

When our side dish arrived, it came without a serving spoon, and it took quite some time before we could actually enjoy it. The restaurant did eventually bring out a properly cooked porterhouse, and while it was tasty, we had to specifically request the complementary butter that we later learned should have been offered automatically.

Dessert, unfortunately, didn’t end the evening on a high note either—one of the desserts was very dry and lacked flavor. What really prompted me to write this review, however, was how the meal concluded. Just as our desserts were served, our waiter asked if we were ready for the check. It felt rushed and took away from what should have been a relaxed end to our anniversary dinner.

Nothing was comped or even acknowledged in light of the repeated service issues, which was disappointing—not because we were looking for something free, but because it would have shown some care and accountability.

Overall, we truly wanted to love this place, and there were moments of promise, but the inconsistency in service and lack of attention to detail made the experience feel far from the fine dining standard we were expecting.

Was really excited to try this place based on the reviews but sad to say I wouldn’t go back without reason.. we ordered the filet medium rare and it was given to us medium well and dried out, with a really underwhelming presentation. The server did not seem to care whatsoever. We went to celebrate a special occasion and even after the mess up with the meals we were not given a dessert or anything other than the bill. We aren’t people that have ever sent food back, but this place was a disappointment. They do give you a welcome cocktail but it really just tasted like svedka and cranberry juice. Hoping they can use this review as feedback to improve, not sure how anyone would choose this place over halls or any of the other amazing seafood/steak restaurants in town.

Yes. Just all the way, yes.
Brett was incredible. Very knowledgeable about the foods, the pairings and the area.
Had the Australian Wagyu ribeye (I may have shed a tear of joy) with creamed corn, roasted carrots, creamed spinach, and triple cooked fries.
Atmosphere was intimate lighting with lively conversation.
Simple a Must-go.

Marbled & Fin is hands down one of the best restaurants in downtown Charleston! The food, service, and atmosphere were all exceptional. The cocktails were creative and delicious! The chicken was cooked perfectly — juicy, tender, and full of flavor — and the seafood dishes were just as amazing. You can tell everything is made with care and with top-quality ingredients.

The wait staff was friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations. They obviously love what they do! This was an unforgettable meal.

If you’re looking for a spot that truly captures Charleston’s charm with a refined dining experience, Marbled & Fin is it. Highly recommend!
