This was our second time coming to Maya before going to a show with some friends. Every single bite we had was delicious. The shrimp skewers and empanadas were just a few of our favorites. Also can forget about the watermelon margarita with a tajin rim, it's a total must have! Our server Hailey was also amazing and remembered us from our last visit. This will be a new tradition for sure. Thanks so much for an excellent experience!
Absolutely loved our dinner at Maya. There were 3 of us in our party and we ordered the elote and garlic chili shrimp skewers as starters along with cocktails. Soooooo delicious. Then, we ordered the steak tacos ... that chimichurri sauce was to die for! Our server Libby was super attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and gave us some great suggestions. Her service made our experience over the top! We would definitely go back!
The food was amazing and so was our waiter. Our dining experience was cut short by personal concerns (not the restaurant!). He boxed everything up and included silverware without asking! The food was absolutely delicious and the staff was wonderul.
Tyler was phenomenal! We had an amazing experience for my friend’s birthday… The recommendations, the service and the food was all top-notch! We will definitely be making this our new spot. :-)

We went here for a Bachelorette trip. They decorated the table and had special menus for the occasion. Our server Emma was the best! She was so nice and made accommodations for us. The ambience of the patio was perfect. Food and drinks were amazing. Could not recommend enough !!
We had the most amazing experience at Maya. We had 4 adults and 3 kids. My husband made a hilarious request in his reservation that was executed incredibly. The service was the best I've had in years, the food and drinks were outstanding, and the vibe was on point. Highly recommend. Will absolutely return if we end up in Charleston again!

Simply one of the best dinners. We tried just about everything on the menu as shared plates and absolutely everything was a hit. There was one plate I didn't enjoy as much as the rest (the ceviche) but that's most likely personal preference. The service was outstanding and the cocktails wonderful. We will definitely be back every time we visit Charleston
This was our 3rd time to Maya tonight.
1st time was a year ago, recommended by a flight attendant friend. It was our anniversary and the complimentary champagne was SO kind.
2nd time was a group of 10 for a friend's birthday. We reserved for when they opened so we wouldn't be in the way for their prime dinner rush. All the staff were so sweet and gave the birthday human great treatment!
Now on our anniversary again we couldn't help but come back! A now-tradition perhaps. The happy hour is excellent, all food and beverage from scratch and SO full flavored. But again it's the service that puts Maya above.. truly genuinely quality staff that has been hard to find in Charleston the last few years. Tonight was Cassandra, and I'm sorry I didn't remember the names of the previous 2 but props to them as well.
Love y'all!

Great food. It was a tad bit warm in the dining area, but it did not get in the way of superb food. Highly recommend

We came in hot! Litterally. The host happily moved us from and outdoor patio table to the indoor bar and, unnecessarily, bought us a cold drink. The food was delicious and Alex our bartender was great! Go to Maya!
Amazing experience!! Staff went out their way to make my dining experience memorable. Both my dinner and drinks came quickly, and were delicious! Will return in the future!! Well worth the visit!!
I love the place but the food is a 6.5/10 the hot sauce came from a bottle. This is a Mexican restaurant should have FRESH SALSA options.
I however can say their drink selection is decent. The tequila options are good.

First margarita was fair tasting but no liquor. Waitress said they come from a tap. She made the next 2, and they were better. She said the restaurant is known for the Maya Crunch Wrap. It was very bland and the beef was very grisly. Couldn't eat some of the meat. It was definitely not worth the $24 price that I didn't notice until after I ordered. I almost fell over to see a wrap that expensive. The brussel sprouts were good even though they were way too salty. The restaurant is dark, and it was hard to see the menu. I had been looking at happy hour prices and was definitely disappointed with the recommendation. I won't be back because it costed $66 for one person to eat and have a couple of tiny margaritas.
Parking: I walked a mile during the extreme heat around 5:30 PM because it's so difficult to find parking. I sweated profusely.
