I was given a great opportunity today to experience the soft opening of Melvin's soon to be new food truck! While the food truck does not offer their full menu, it was still a great experience. They offer their main items like pulled pork sandwiches, pulled chicken sandwiches, and burgers that are cooked to perfection with sides of your choosing. Myself and a couple others that joined me all tried different menu items and inhaled the food it was so good.

The staff was friendly and a pleasure to deal with and we had our food in 5 minutes or less which was perfect for a quick lunch break!

I am excited for when this food truck is permanently open and I WILL be back.

Thank you Melvin's team!

Burnt ends sandwich was all fatty and uncooked. Very disappointed. Worst I’ve had at Bessingers in 65 years.

I have been eating at this place for so many years and have not had a bad experience yet. They are also always friendly when you go and food never disappoints.

As a local I'm loyal to Melvin's. Been coming here for decades. The food is good, they pay their employees a fair and livable wage, environment is family friendly. I don't have a complaint and recommend this place.

Best cheeseburger I have eaten. The fries were yummy and I loved the onion ring. I had a Dr pepper to drink. The staff was super friendly. Loved it!

Ordered a half lb of bbq for $12 at the drive through and after I ordered I realized the full lb was $19. When I got to the window I asked to get a lb instead. The guy tried to charge me $24 for two half lbs “because he had already made the first one”. Finally they correct the order after another worker helped the first guy. Get home and the weigh comes out to 13.4oz which is about 20% short. $35 for a very average “pound” of pork and a side of collards

Melvin’s didn’t live up to the hype for me. The place was very cool looking but the bbq was just ok for me.
I had the pulled pork with two sides.
The sides were very good. I had baked beans and Mac and cheese. My wife had a burger abs she liked it. I would like to give it another try to see if I like the ribs or brisket.

Easily the most lackadaisical employees on the island. The food is good, but the workers seem like they’ve been huffing paint all day

Never had such dry, hard, chewy brisket. Don’t even try the messy chili cheese fries.

I tried for the first time and wasn’t impressed with the burger I tried and fries. Very greasy and it tastes like the fountain drink lines aren’t cleaned properly.

BBQ and Mac and cheese was great, hash and rice was a little tomatoey, no cornbread. Banana pudding was disappointing
