The ultimate compromise for a bachelorette party. Nachos sushi were decent but tacos were not very good. Good place to party though.

Great place for our group of 8! We were celebrating a bachelorette and the staff was so great at accommodating and celebrating our bride. The options for tacos or sushi worked out great for our group- no food complaints among the group!

Went with a group of friends for their bday and had an amazing time! All the staff were super welcoming and the food was just as great. We dove in on some sushi platters, a taco tower, and some great margaritas from a mega pitcher. We got there a bit early for the reservation so Abby guided us to the bar and we had a great couple of rounds at the bar (definitely get a shot ski if you want a great time!). Shot out Brady and Warner for a great time at the bar and Lauren provided us great service once we got to the table! They were all super attentive and I couldn’t remember a time when my drink was near empty. Thank y’all for a great and memorable experience!

Had a great time at Mesu recently! We were there for a joint bday birthday and really enjoyed the sushi platters, mega margarita pitcher, and shot skis! Started off with some drinks at the bar before our reservation and Warner and Brady KILLED it! Once we got to the table, Lauren took great care of us and the manager Abby even brought over a shot for us to ring the gong to. I’ll definitely be back for my birthday in a couple months. 10/10 experience overall and the playlist was awesome too!

We had a great time. Food was fantastic and we got to see Pacers beat the Knicks on the big screen. We'll definitely go back!

Half of us wanted sushi and half wanted Mexican and we googled options and found this place last minute. Saw that it was a 4.6! 😳
Unfortunately it was extremely underwhelming.
The ONLY thing that made our experience better was our server Sidney.
The nachos were decent of all the things we tried.
The bao bun was so disappointing, why did you deep fry the bao bun? It’s meant to be steamed, soft and fluffy. When I bit into it, oil just seeped into my mouth and I literally didn’t finish it.
My husband tried one of the tacos and again, so oily and left a puddle of grease on the plate.
The sushi … you can just tell when it doesn’t taste fresh. Maybe it “was” fresh but kept for too long? Idk 🤷🏻‍♀️ for almost a $200 tab, we left unsatisfied.
It’s VERY rare that my husband and I don’t finish our food, but we did not enjoy most of it. Like I mentioned before, our server was attentive, friendly and nice. We did not make any complaints to her, we paid for everything but I would just hope that the feedback we gave is helpful. Please don’t deep fry the bao bun!!

We love going to mesu; our favorite sushi in the city, and a a very energetic vibe (which, is great most of the time)! Can't wait our next visit.

Excellent service, the food was amazing - we had the lobster Rangoon roll & the Taurus roll. Fun environment, we did the shot-ski!

Interesting concept being a Mexican sushi spot! The rolls were good, but overall a bit on the pricey side. We didn’t have a reservation but got seated at the bar which was fine. We were attended to regularly and the food was good and very filling! It’s a fun vibe inside and was perfect for our girls night.

We had an 8:30 reservation for 8 girls & we were not seated until 9 pm. The staff apologized but the place seemed very frantic and unorganized. Mesu should probably revisit the way they take recessions for large parties. The food and our waiter were good. However, we ordered dessert and that took another half hour to come..would have never ordered churros if I knew it was going to be a half hour!

I was in Charleston for 4 days for my bachelorette and this place was by far my most favorite experience. I didn't really have expectations going into it, I just though maybe we'll eat some good food and move on with our night. BOY was I wrong. The food was absolutely delicious, the playlist was perfect, the staff was so fun & attentive, and the ambiance was energetic in the best way possible. Our waiter JP(?) was the best time. He was constantly coming over and bringing the party vibes with him. He was constantly refilling our water, getting us drinks, and overall just so on top of it! He even gave us recommendations of where to go afterwards - it truly felt like he was a part of our bachelorette group!! I would do Mesu all over again if I could, I loved it so much and I know you will to (you who is reading this review)

This place at the corner of King St. downtown stays true to its name and its food. Hands down for me the best tacos and sushi blend I’ve ever had. Order 6 tacos all 6 came out perfect so sweet made me want to put golden honey on it when get home. This Mexican & Asian mixed restaurant has won me over with the flow, vibe and style to and from the people, kitchen, staff, and food. 5 stars coming from a man that does keto. My taste buds approve that this place has not only good great and amazing food but clean food has well. The cleanest tacos I’ve ever had with a mix of lime parsley or cilantro on the sides killed it with the presentation of the light heavy duty cardboard box and bag to-go is also stable when walking back downtown to your vehicle and is more eco-friendly. Checks across the board with this one. Excited to try the Candy Apple roll, Tiger roll and/or the Dynamite roll Thank you for the experience MESU ✅

We visited Mesu on our trip for my little sister's bachelorette party. They were so great to our group and, as part of the celebration, they brought a strobe light to the table and had her hit the gong! The food was top notch!

Food wasn't all there. Maybe a bad day. Guac was fire so we're bao buns. Tacos were just okay. Service was phenomenal. Maybe just an off day.

This is our new favorite place for date night. The music is Loud and Amazing and I can’t say enough about their staff. Everyone is so nice and accommodating. Mexican meets sushi.. so so good!
