Rue de Jean has been a favorite since they opened. Tonight was our first visit in a few months, and we were struck by how loud it was in there! Hard to hear each other and our server. As always, the food is delicious (especially the burgers!), but oddly, our signature cocktails were not — could taste only the alcohol, no mixers. Stick to classic cocktails and the wine list. A good value and fun spot.
We were notified that afternoon that the air conditioning was having work performed, so it would be warm. It was not uncomfortable and management said we could move to another of their restaurants. We decided to stay. A number of the menu items were not available as were our first choice from the wine list. I believe this was directly attributable to the A/C situation. Service and food were fine. We would go back again so long as the A/C was resolved.
Great service, our waitress was awesome. She explained a couple challenges due to the renovations. The patio was perfect. Everyone luved the food & ambiance. We were celebrating a “60” year birthday. We had show tickets next door at the Music Hall for 8pm—so the location was perfect for a wonderful dinner.
