Really cool spot. Sat outside and it was absolutely beautiful. Our server was great. Fried chicken was awesome and the grits were the best I’ve ever had. Cocktails were great too.

Staff from beginning to end were perfect. On top of everything you need before you had a chance to ask.
We started with the pork belly which was a smaller single piece plated beautifully with a variety of flavors perfectly blended. Highly recommend.
I personally didn’t care for the shrimp and grits only due to it being a tomato sauce. My husband loved it however.
The steak special was surprisingly good. We come from a house that we primarily only smoke steaks due to flavor. We have been disappointed with steaks we’ve had at every restaurant until this one. It was very good and perfectly cooked.

A beautiful restaurant. Perfect for dinner and a walk around the grounds afterwards. Watch out for critters, bring bug spray and have a lovely time. The food was delicious and the servers were so helpful. Plus, it’s free to walk the grounds after dinner.

Amazing views. Good food. Fast Service. The setting is absolutely gorgeous. Wine is priced at 2 x retail which was a pleasant surprise.

I highly recommend this restaurant! The she-crab soup is a must-try, a legendary dish that truly delivers on its promise of rich, creamy, unforgettable flavor. The shrimp and grits were also exceptional, a Southern classic elevated to new heights with buttery grits and a generous helping of perfectly seasoned shrimp. What truly elevated the experience, beyond the delicious food, was the genuinely warm and attentive service. The staff clearly cared about their guests, and the cozy, vibrant atmosphere made you want to stay awhile.

I have eaten here dozens of times over some 20 years. The quality if the food has recently declined very much. The pork chop was so salty no one could eat it. The once very good she crab soup is now watery and unpoluted by any crab. Until I hear they changed chefs or managers I won't be back. The food is terribly. Very sad.

Kind of surprised at the reviews. Wife and I were excited to try the restaurant based on yelp and google. Ordered the mussels, charred gem salad, and scallops. Mussels were OK, salad was over charred where it was soggy and way over loaded with blue cheese and bacon topping. The scallops were rubbery from being over cooked and covered in salt. Mentioned it was salty to our waitress who told me that the roe added salt. Don’t feel like arguing and just said OK. Didn’t eat the salad, didn’t eat the scallops, and not that we asked for anything, but they made no attempt to address the situation. We paid and went on our way.

If this was a $20 meal, fine, but price to dine here was not any cheaper than doing downtown or any other restaurant of this tier.

bartender acted like it ruined his day to pour us 2 waters after the polite hostess literally invited us inside for it. 11am. everyone else at middleton has been a joy to interact with!

Had the lunch buffet on Saturday. Amazingly good (except for the flounder, I think it was frozen). The white sauce Mac and cheese is a dish I will have to master in my kitchen.

Pecan pie for dessert. I don’t know if they meant to get a little char on the nuts but that was a pleasant surprise. I think I will try that on my pies at home.

The views out the windows were delightful.
