I called in my order to the James Island location. I asked for a ten minute delay to process due to my driving location. Unfortunately when I arrived the order was never submitted. This actually was not the main issue. The main problem was the RUDE lady at the register. She was insistent that I placed my order at the downtown location. And told me to call and cancel and that I MAY not have to pay for ordering at the wrong location. I, then showed her my phone with the correct phone number location. (James Island) She did NOT like to be challenged on this, so turned it back on me saying I was being "hostile". Exactly what she meant is still a mystery and she proceeded to get her boss. He came out after several minutes of waiting and asked me, "is there a problem". I felt like I was the one in the "hot seat"!! I explained the situation. He was MORE concerned about "finding out" who took my order, than about apologizing about the mishap! (Which didn't bother near as much as the way I was being treated after!) I also mentioned about the rude lady who accused me of being "hostile". She was standing there as well, upon hearing this she became very argumentative with me! THE CUSTOMER! Strange! Neither one were apologetic nor concerned to make things right by making the customer happy! I paid full price for my meal to be gas lite and harassed myself! Weird experience!! BE AWARE!! Not user friendly if there is an issue! They took ZERO responsibility!!!

The only thing I had today that was good was the banana bread. Eggs Up Grill makes better hash and the portions were small for the price tag. The total bill was over $60 including tip for 2 people. I tried Millers and I'm not impressed...which is sad because I've heard such great reviews. 😔

It's in a hard to reach and older neighborhood, but it's worth the struggle to get there. The ""Fried Bolgna Biscuit" and the "MAD Patty Melt" are worth chasing. Get there before advertised 3 pm closing.

Their take on these old sandwiches adds greatly to the enjoyment. I felt again like a kid at a local diner. And that's a good thing.

Service was excellent and drinks and food arrived quickly. I will return for more.

I thought that the food was mediocre. Good, but nothing astounding. Server was nice and the restaurant itself was cozy and friendly. Wouldn't necessarily rush to get back.

Really hoping I went in on an off day. I got the corn beef hash. I don’t often send food back, but the dish was cold and trying to stomach cold corned beef with a sunny side egg was not happening for me. I asked the server to just have them pop it in the oven and instead they gave me a whole new one which was warmer but still not hot. The dish is served in a cast iron dish so (in my opinion) it should be really easy to serve hot… I appreciate the effort to rectify the situation but this was not it.

Was not a fan of the corn meal pancakes. Seems like the waffles would've been better and they probably use the same batter. would probably order something else. Server was great and the inside was lovely.

Incredibly tasty, great vibes. Loved it. A little expensive, so I wouldn’t come here often except for a treat.

This place is always spot on when we visit James Island. My chai came to me fast. Our server took fantastic care of us. The pancakes were melt in your mouth and the breakfast potatoes were delectable! Always a great visit!

Vegetarian options: I think it needs some solid vegetarian options, but this place is awesome.

I came in and picked up my Togo order. My coffee was delicious, but I got a cinnamon roll, it was a hockey puck. It was not edible. 5 bucks for a unedible hockey puck when a cinnamon roll should be chewy not a cement block. Change your cinnamon roll bread or don't bake it so long.

Wow. Great food and cool atmosphere. My wife gave the smash burger a 4/5 (and notes that 5 Guys is a 6/5–for your reference ?). We shared this huge cinnamon roll with delicious buttercream icing. I had the waffles with a side of eggs. All great.

Very good breakfast! Service was warm and friendly, the spicy chicken donut sandwich was fun and delish! The shrimp and grits were such a warm comforting welcome to the Charleston food scene. Service was friendly and the decor is very colorful and retro.
