This restaurant is a wonderful place to go. Jen, our server, was so friendly and fun. She made you feel so welcome. The food was delicious. They play fun music while you’re enjoying your meal. Definitely put it on your list of places to go.

Had happy hour experience. Wow!! Three dollar tacos fish, salmon, chicken and short rib. Multiple other food offerings. Also least expensive liquor/whiskey in our area. Creative cocktails and friendly staff. Very cool vibe, loved it. Must try, can't wait to go back.

Had a WONDERFUL dinner at Mpishi! The food and service were fantastic! The chef catered to our group’s different diets perfectly. Food was light, fresh, and very creative Mediterranean vegetarian, chicken, and lamb dishes. Everyone in our group was very happy. Highly recommend!

There is a very nice realtor, who supports local businesses by sending links to people with a gift card for something at their establishment. I have never been to Mpishi and was looking forward to trying the breakfast sandwich that was the gift sent by this realtor and specifically states,"Valid through close of business on: 09/01/2024" along with all the other promotional info about Mpishi which is great advertising for this restaurant for sure. I sent my husband in this morning to use the gift promotion as well as buy another sandwich and he was very curtly told that they would not honor the certificate and that yesterday was the last day. My husband politely brought up the text with the promotion clearly marked with the expiration as above and was still told too bad. Obviously, this business is not about customer satisfaction or return business. Of course my husband would have tipped on both sandwiches, very generously, I might add, that most likely would have paid for the cost of the comped sandwich. Instead, the attitude of the establishment he faced will keep us from ever trying Mpishi and to be sure telling others of our experience there.

I I love to support our local businesses and restaurants here on DI and want to plug the new dinner options that Mpishi has on Friday nights from 5-8 pm. We had dinner there last night and the food was AMAZING! The food was fresh and light and the chef did a wonderful job catering to the many different diet restrictions in our group. SO excited to have a dinner option for healthy food here on DI! Highly recommend everyone trying them!!

We were at Folly Beach for our matriarch's 70'th birthday celebration and were lucky enough to have hired Chef Andy and team for a private dinner. To say the night went great is an understatement. From the moment they got there, the service was impeccable, accomodating and attentive. And the food... The food was even better. We were 9 adults and 5 kids, so Chef created a mezze style menu to accomodate us all, from the diehard foodies to the pickiest eaters. There wasn't a person on the table who didn't think the food was excellent. We also made it pretty tough for Chef. Our oven wasn't working, so at the last minute, he had to get creative with the food timing and preparation, and they executed flawlessly; from the appetizers, side dishes and main courses, to an incredible tiramisu for dessert. If you get an opportunity to hire them for a private dinner, you are in for a treat. If not, do yourself a favor and visit them at Mpishi for amazing food and experience.

Food was fine as was the service but way overpriced for what you get. One egg is $4. The food was also bland and needed salt and pepper which they do not have on the tables.

Just took a closer look at my receipt. Simply because of the "no substitution" for a single pancake instead of 4 half slices of toast, cost went from $14.50 to $18...and asked for less meat (i.e. bacon, no sausage (that would have been an additional$3.50)).This MUST BE a common request, so why not just incorporate it into the menu? Meh- I'm just Just a simple (first-time) customer, making a gentle (perhaps not even new) suggestion.
