Ms. Rose’s Fine Food is a treat in Charleston! The food was absolutely delicious—highly recommend the avocado burger with the gluten-free bun, which was sturdy, flavorful, and a perfect match. The meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans was another standout. Don’t leave without trying the brisket fries—mouthwatering! The restaurant is spacious, the staff is warm and welcoming, and our waitress Raven gave top-notch service with great recommendations for us first-timers. We’ll definitely be back!

I didn't have a great dining experience. It was not good. Who waits 45 minutes for a BLT? That's crazy.

The food was average. I am trying to find a good fried chicken in Charleston so I tried Ms. Rose. It was ok- seemed to be juicy but the coating was bland. My husband had a burger and fries- nothing special but good. The wait staff were excellent. We don’t have to wait for a seat. Prices a bit steep but worth it for the staff and environment.

We went there for lunch and took 45 minutes to get 2 soups and a burger. Soups were cold

We were there for a group workshop so had a fixed menu with 4 entree choices (blackened salmon, pork chops, shrimp and grits, veggie option) with sides and 2 dessert options (brownie cookie sundae or banana cheesecake). The salmon was delicious albeit very spicy, Parmesan grits were superb. Unfortunately, the green beans were very undercooked (I took some salmon and grits and all the green beans home to reheat or recook as needed tomorrow. The brownie was so tasty - perfect texture, taste and density. Our server was great. She took care of our room of about 15 diners mostly on her own. We all got hot food and refills. She didn’t introduce herself so I can’t send personal thanks her way. Nate was also very kind and checked in a few times and brought boxes for leftovers. I’ll definitely be back.

This place needs to be on Kitchen Nightmares. If Gordon Ramsay walked into this restaurant, he’d be screaming at the staff for being lazy and clueless. Those aren't words I typically throw around, but hear me out...
We were seated right away, but that was the only thing that happened quickly. No waitress came to check on us, but then a couple was seated right next to us, and the waitress that had seated us immediately went to take their drink order while still ignoring us. She came back to check on them again, and even when I tried to flag her down, she just rushed off to clean an empty booth. Seriously? Focus on the people who are already seated instead of cleaning up for people who haven’t even arrived! We waited several more minutes and still, no one came to take our order.
We decided to move to the bar, thinking we’d get better service there. Big mistake. The bartender was glued to her phone and didn’t even look at us. My wife timed it—after 7 minutes of being ignored at the bar (on top of the time we already wasted at our original table), we walked out.
I noticed another reviewer had a similar experience shortly before we arrived there. This seems to be the norm at this place.

I’ll start by saying that the food and service were great. The restaurant has cool features like an outside deck with entertaining games (perfect for the active little one that was with our party). An art deco wall made out of plates. The wooden partition walls around the booths just makes for a warm cozy feel. We went early on Sunday for brunch right as the restaurant was opening (10:00AM). We were told by the hostess we needed reservations and the whole party had to be there in order to get seated. The place was empty with the exception of servers and bar tenders standing around talking to each other.
When our entire party (6 people) were assembled, the hostess ignored us for what seemed 5 minutes or more. It was obvious she was not going to seat us. Another young lady (server) walked up to the hostess desk and noticed that the hostess and a young man (host) were ignoring us and looking at something on his phone. The young female server stood there for a few minutes and finally said “they’ve been waiting to be seated.” The hostess ignored her too and continued to look at the phone. She finally sat us at a table. I was appalled by the way we were treated by the hostess. The restaurant only started to get more guests around 11:00AM. But, it never entirely filled up as there were several large tables that were empty the entire time we were there. We left right around noon. Food was slow coming out of the kitchen and they got my order wrong.
We had so many other really cool choices of eating establishments as we were staying in Mt. Pleasant. We chose your establishment even though it was out of the way for us. Please realize that you're not the only gig in town and folks can go elsewhere and get treated a lot better.

I never do this, but I had to today.. completely ignored by the bartender for basically the entirety of our meal.. 10 minutes to be greeted .. pretty sure they were smoking weed outback .. empty waters , zero suggestions on the menu, just "what do you want ?" ..if you want soul food in Charleston you should go to Berthas or

The atmosphere might be the only good thing about this place. Thoroughly disappointed. Husband and I both got friend chickens dnit was so heavily breaded, unseasoned and overcooked I picked out what meat I could manage. The grits had absolutely ZERO flavor just don't know how something could be dry and mushy at the same time but those were. Only good item I had were the collards. I really hope it was just a bad day for them because our first experience here is not great.

This was my second time here only. The first time I came I tried to sit at the bar, but theie were dirty plates everywhere. Fortunately, this time I walked up to the bar, sat down and was excited and ready to order my drink, and the bartender said the seat was reserved. There were no other seats so I had to leave. Not sure what’s up with the bartenders, but I know the food is good but man could they use some customer service skills?

Went here for a christmas party not to long ago…expected better from a “Fine food” place. Atmosphere and everything else was fine in my opinion but NOT for a work get together. Worst food ive had in charleston tbh..Over cooked chicken that was just rubbery, shrimp that was chewy and still looked like it needed to dethaw. grits couldve been made better with store bought. just all around would not recommend anyone going out their way to try this. you could get better food at the S.S cafe right across from them. WILL not eat here ever again.

There weren't enough options on the menu, and what they offered was too expensive. We ordered the fried green tomatoes and shrimp scampi. The tomatoes were BLAND. Absolutely no seasoning. They shrimp were undercooked

Delicious shrimp and grits and the fish and chips were cooked to perfection. We went at lunch and our server was friendly and checked on us several times to see if we needed anything and our food came out pretty quickly and piping hot!! Highly recommend Ms Roses!!
The fried chicken was hard enough to bust a jewelry store window. The hamburger that replaced it was cold and undercooked.
