Delicious brews and friendly bar staff in a European style pub-like atmosphere.

This is the brewery for beer aficionados.

Their Belgian beers are excellent. The flanders oud buin barrel aged sour stole the show and is a great example of the style.

Staff is awesome. I came in asking about the barrel aged sours and a man who I’m assuming is one of the brewers talked with me at length about the brewing process and it was a great conversation.

Immaculate vibes. Unlike other area breweries in the area that can feel like a daycare Munkle instead felt like a true haven for beer enjoyers and is exactly the type of brewery experience that I look for.

If you’re in it for the beer Munkle is a must-visit.

Explored Charleston for the first time, and as a beer nerd this was my favorite brewery in the city. The staff were friendly and every beer was top notch. The only negative is limited parking. Indoor and outdoor seating are both worthwhile.

Great place for really good beer and just to hang out. Very chill vibe, comfortable environment with outdoor seating. Always a place we stop on our visits to Charleston. The bartenders are very friendly along with everyone here. Beers change with the seasons so there is always something new to try. Can't go wrong with the Pils or the Wit.

Really good beer. Wish I would've taken a photo. The Belgian triple is phenomenal. We were here for a Christmas office party and they did a great job with the appetizer services and ofc with the drinks. The bar tenders were busy yet friendly all night. Great beer conversation with the young lad and lady that served us. The lady bartender offered me a beer on the house after I purchased a six pack of the Belgian to take home. She was super nice and friendly 🧡 One of if not my favorite brewery in Charleston. Can't wait to return one day for the Belgian Triple, friendly staff, and a full Bánh Mi!

This is the best brewery in Charleston! We already loved this brewery, the space and the beer, but after they hosted our private event we love them even more (if that’s possible). The owner and staff went above and beyond to make sure our event was perfect and everyone was well taken care of. They were flexible and attentive. We are so grateful for all they did for our event and would easily choose them again! If you haven’t already I certainly recommend trying the Pilsner!

My friend and I visited Munkle Brewing yesterday, and it was outstanding. The building has a great vibe with a spacious covered patio and outdoor bar that makes it easy to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. The owner came over to talk with us personally, offered recommendations, and you can tell immediately how knowledgeable he is about his craft, every suggestion was spot on.

If you’re a fan of Belgian-style beers, this is hands down the best spot in Charleston. Their Brugge City Brune is incredible, and I walked out with an armful of their Oud Brune.

It’s obvious they take immense pride in their beer, their service, and the experience they create. We even happened to run into the owner the next day at Lewis BBQ, and he made a point to stop by and say hello. He didn’t have to, but that small gesture spoke volumes about the kind of people behind this place.

Exceptional beer, exceptional people. I’ll absolutely be back.

Locals who believe Munkle to have the best beers in the Charleston area. European types very true to style. It’s a pleasant and friendly brewery. Cute outdoor seating and often yummy food trucks.
