We arrived with high expectations, but unfortunately the experience was deeply disappointing from start to finish. It took 20 minutes before anyone acknowledged us to take a drink order. Our waitstaff introduced herself, but we only saw her one other time. She was unable to answer a basic question about the menu and then disappeared entirely until it was time to bring the bill. Another staff member eventually brought our drinks, and then it took an additional 20 minutes for a straightforward appetizer—a cheese tray—to arrive. I ordered a salad that looked hastily thrown together, as if it were slapped into the bowl with little care. After 90 minutes with virtually no table service, we were preparing to leave when our entrées finally appeared. I ordered a duck appetizer that arrived lukewarm, while the other dish was acceptable. At that point, we immediately asked for the bill and a slice of cake to go, hoping to avoid being abandoned again. To make matters worse, the table next to us—who arrived before we did—still had not received their food. We were seated in a room with only four tables, and all of us openly discussed how poor the service was. In truth, there really was no service at all—items were dropped on tables and staff vanished. The question we all left asking was: What happened? This level of disorganization and neglect does not match what one would expect from an establishment like Muse.

Cute old house. Food was good but not great. Steak was tough. Sea bass was okay. Lemon cake was a tiny cold lemon muffin sitting in sauce. Waited over 39 minutes for our dessert.

I know I shouldn’t have, but I ordered the carbonara. It was way overcooked and chicken was burnt not blackened. My husband had sea bass which came as the head and not the whole fish. Weird presentation.

It took more than 30 minutes to get appetizers then about 20 minutes after for entrees.

Waitress was shouting at us at one point, it was very odd. I wouldn’t come back. Much better restaurants in Charleston.

A most peculiar place indeed. You'll feel like you're in a Dickens novel. It's dark and is musty but the food was good. I'd be inclined to try someplace else next time I'm in town.

Food was amazing and shout out to our server Hunter. He was so attentive and respectful even with a big group. Would definitely recommend for big parties.

Restaurant is adorable! Old house converted to a restaurant which is precious. But that’s it. Service was subpar (terrible) and food was really bland. I’d say it was actually bad. It didn’t even match the description. At first I thought maybe I have allergies and my taste buds are off but then we all agreed after we realized the other person didn’t like theirs either. I’m not a self proclaimed foodie but I do live in Charleston so I know what is good vs what isn’t. This ISN’T.

The smell in the restaurant should have been our first clue or maybe the hour it took to get our appetizer.
The veal had zero taste. Tough, dry with no seasoning. The eggplant equally as terrible but with stone cold pasta.
Server never checked after meal arrived. Simply said I’m sorry when we raised concern. No manager stopped by. They took off the veal. But that wasn’t the point . We were celebrating a milestone birthday.

And though the hostess acknowledged- nothing was done by the server. No did she offer us dessert.

Stay away- service was terrible, food overpriced and lackluster.

Average food. Small portions. Overpriced based on the quantity/quality of food. Decent service - too friendly though for this type of establishment. Definitely room to improve but could be a hit or miss scenario.

My wife insisted on a fancy dinner out after I dragged here through the USS Yorktown for several hours. The pumpkins squash portions were a little small, but they were incredible. My wife is the foodie in our relationship, but even I had to admit this was one of the best meals I've had in a long time.

We were a table for 2 and got put in a small room with a loud table of 6 and a table of 6 with a baby. Could barely hear ourselves talk. Ordered the MP steak and it was fatty and chewy and fries were bland. The targatelle bolognese was more meat sauce than pasta. Overall couldn't wait to get out of there. Waiter didn't crack a smile either. One and done here.

Wonderful food and beautiful noght sitting on the patio. Donnie and his helper were the best.
