I have been to Charleston several times for leisure and have never dined at Muse. This was easily probably the best meal I have had in Charleston. Our server was incredibly attentive, caring, and entertaining. The food was incredible. I do not believe a single piece of food was left on our plates. I could not recommend this restaurant more.
If you want the ambiance of a typical Southern restaurant the Muse is the place to go. The Muse is not a large, a few tables outside and several inside. The service was "the best" we had the privilege of being served by Donnie and what a great time we had with him. The food was out of this world. This is our first time in Charleston- the food was ok- we ordered bolognese, gnocchi, ravioli and carbonara dishes. All very salty. Pasta was good and al dente, service was not great and dishes were picked up too fast while others were still eating- no service for a long time- it took too long for dessert and overall we waited a long time. Place is charming but outdated and service seems a little disorganized, food can be improved and maybe more than 3 pasta dishes in the menu.
