I ordered from the New Peking in November 2024. My first impression was the all too common older restaurant that really needs an update, or at least some work.
You order from behind a plastic window that separates the kitchen and counter area from what is considered a dining room. There are a good amount of booths, it’s very dark, and as earlier stated, needs work.

This restaurant is the only Chinese restaurant conveniently located handful of blocks north of Calhoun Street. I've only gotten pickups, but I live 1½ blocks away yet its dining area seems pleasant. They're consistently not open on Tuesdays.

Wheelchair accessibility: Its entrance is completely ground level & seating inside could easily accommodate a wheelchair.

My normal place was closed so we tried New Peking. It was further than I normally like to order (via DD), and the prices were high (mainly because of the mark up needed to cover DD fees) but the reviews on that site give it 4.7. I was fully expecting to not order again, but we were really happy with the quality. The egg rolls are huge. The chicken pieces for the sweet and sour and general tsos were big and meaty.
