We completely forgot about Charleston Restaurant Week, so we were pleasantly surprised by the menu options when we arrived for dinner. For a much lower cost, we still experienced the amazing food and service we have come to expect from what is easily one of my favorite restaurants. The beef Wellington was absolutely PERFECT, and you can never go wrong with their whipped potatoes! We were seated on the mezzanine, which is louder than we would have liked, but it didn't take away from our experience. My husband's steak was cooked to perfection, and we both enjoyed our Restaurant Week desserts. Looking forward to returning again soon!

One of the best steaks I have had in a long time. Everything was excellent. We are from out of town and if we lived here we would be back often! Food was excellent, service excellent, loved the setting. Can't say anything bad.

We happened on Oak last year by accident and had the most delicious meal. The steak was so tender. The service is always amazing. This has become a yearly tradition when we come to Charleston.

Fabulous steakhouse in historic district of Charleston just 1 block from the river. We came for my son’s birthday - they surprised us with special menu’s printed for him. The waiter was attentive and very knowledgeable. The restaurant is 3 levels but managed to feel intimate but not stuffy. The meal was nicely paced and everything tasted delicious. Highly recommend the rolls!!

We've always thought of Oak as our favorite steak house but this visit really disappointed us. We've always loved the oysters Rockefeller and we ordered 15 of them for the table and they were coated with bread crumbs and they were very dry. Wedge salad was awesome. My grouper was overcooked and totally dry as well. My husbands steak was okay. My friends did love their filet. Brody our waiter was amazing. I have to say we will definitely rethink next time we want a good steak.

We all agreed the steaks were absolutely perfect ! In flavor, medium rare and appearance. The fries were amazing as well! We shared chocolate cake for dessert and it was gorgeous, tall and best we've all had !

Slightly disappointing from start to finish. Nothing went terribly wrong but everything was not quite what should be expected from a restaurant at that price point. Hostess staff was not friendly, waited longer than we should have for a reserved table, items on our order were forgotten, food took forever to get, things came to the table out of order. Food was ok but not great. Would consider going back because I've heard so much better but based on our experience alone would not return.
