Sultan Restaurant and Lounge

This is the best restaurant I’ve ever had in the area. The TV’s and decor illuminated outstanding vibes. I had the chicken shawarma and fries. Delish. Definitely recommend.

food was great, a bit slow on the service, but good either way. atmosphere about what you'd expect in south Carolina, very authentic. baklava is delicious btw

It was a good experience for my husband and I, hummus was great the most delicious hummus I have tried in the USA so far. The restaurant and the tables were clean . However, the high chair did not have a seat belt, so we spent the entire time trying to keep my baby from falling out of it.

Do not sleep on this place! We popped in and it did not disappoint! Momen took such great care of us and made us feel so welcome! Did not get a pic because we ate everything too fast!

Was kind disappointed for $35. I got a salad (that I could have better my self) and a large Gyro. I thought Gyro comes as a wrap like I always got. Portion size was small Mom and I was very depressed. We need to find a good Gyro spot. Also the Tyzeki sause had no dill no cucumber no spalsh of lemon. Also while waiting on my order im looking in the kitchen they warm your food up in a microwave. So something is not fresh.A rice cooker keeps rice hot like a chinesse place. I dont like the new managment. My 1st time there about 5months ago it was good maybe today was a bad day. Non the less not worth 35$ a plate.$65 for mom and I never again.

I'll start with the positives. The people/server are very nice and the hummus appetizer was good and fresh (albeit, they provide very little pita for the amount of hummus). The "meals" left a lot to be desired, way overpriced for very little food of inferior quality. Also, they charge for tap water with lemon, which was very surprising. We've eaten A LOT of Greek/Mediterranean in our lives and this is not what we consider typical for the genre. Again, the people are super nice so we hope they get it figured out.

We ate at Sultan‘s tonight and really enjoyed our meal, portions were generous to say the least. I had the little lamb chops and roasted garden vegetables and a nice portion of pita that was very good. The lamb chops were so tasty and done just right. There were four in the serving and That was absolutely enough, but I felt like I could’ve eaten 30!! Well, not really but they were delicious. I had the roasted garden vegetables with mine and it comes with the sauce. I highly recommend Sultans, we need more nice neighborhood restaurants in West Ashley. This used to be Olympik Deli And the decor is about the same as it was then. Go there!

We are just here and it is closed.Supposed to be open at 12:00 AM but it is 3 pm and still close.We never get chance to eat here.It says open so we drove 2 hours but big disappointment.

I wish if I could give a negative rating other than 1 star...
We wanted plain shawarma chicken and meat .
For shawarma they brought us a small plate of dry chicken and beef pieces ...no onions no fries...nothing and some rancid tahini sauce
No kubs nothing...
3.99 for a flat diet coke and was charged 1 dollar for plain water!!!!!which wasn't even bottled...
He even apologised for the misunderstanding and said next time 🤣, they'd serve us with the pita bread!

I am absolutely disappointed in my experience with this restaurant. I ordered the lamb kabobs entree. The price i paid for the amount of food I received was absolutely ridiculous. It was a portion for a child not an adult. The taste was dry and just overall disappointing. I will not be returning

Amazing food and service! Highly recommend this restaurant West Ashley.

There is a covered woman working inside, she has a black scarf on her head, I have never seen such rudeness, it is a shame, they brought us uncooked, raw food and they are racist, I really do not recommend it to anyone, there is a disgraceful employee, the food has nothing to do with Turkish food.

I had pick up order the guys at the cashier asked me 3-4 times why you paid your order less than normal i told him i had a promotion on my account and he was so rude to me and keep saying you paid less and he wanted me to show my receipt on my app which is ridiculous i never seen that much rude restaurant never ever will go here again

We went to the Savannah Highway restaurant (there are two Sultan restaurants in Charleston). The Sultan’s website said the menu was the same as the Olympik Bar and Grill that previously used the same location. Our Sultan receipt was even labeled "Olympik Bar & Grill" (not Sultan's). But there were no gyros or spanakopita on the menu (like we always ordered when the restaurant was named Olympik) so clearly that was false advertising. The grilled vegetables were so immersed in vinegar that they were discolored (very pale). It is overpriced because (1) they added a 2.5% "Hospitality Tax" which is not normal for Savannah Highway restaurants and (2) they added a 4% fee for paying with a VISA card before they even asked what payment method. On the positive side, the baklava and their special whipped cream were excellent and our server, Haley, was very attentive.
