Sultan Mediterranean Restaurant on Savannah Highway is an absolute gem! The décor is beautiful, and the restaurant is spotless. We had the pleasure of meeting the Sultan himself, Ahmed, whose service, politeness, and patience were outstanding.
The food was incredible – the hummus was smooth and flavorful, the falafel was juicy and delicious, and the kufta was cooked to perfection. Everything tasted fresh and authentic.
We are so happy we found this place and will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Very good food and kind service West Ashley location. We had a large group and may have overwhelmed them a little bit

I went to the Sultan restaurant to have lunch, the food is just disgusting, the meat is like rubber, I ordered Chicken Shish and they brought me a chicken doner, sliced chicken doner. I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Run don’t walk to this West Ashley location! Sultans serves outstanding Middle Eastern food with the most delicious Egyptian twist. I’m a huge fan of both the chicken and beef kofta kebabs! The space has recently been renovated which makes for a really pleasant atmosphere-they have outdoor seating as well! Can’t wait to go back!

Everything was great. The sugar and olive oil tasted expired but it was a great experience.

Friendly service, delicious generous portions at a very fair price. We'll be back!
So good! To be honest, we came in because nearby options were closed, and I'm glad we did! Welcoming service, generous portions of delicious food. Two sides come with the entres for a very reasonable price. We enjoyed the chicken Shwarama and the salmon with roasted veggies and Greek Salads. We'll be back!

Wanted to like this place but terrible experience and will not be back. Chicken was overcooked/rubbery. They brought us a full plate of 2 meals when we ordered a half plate and I believe 1 meal had seasoning/upcharge added that was not asked for. Had never been before so no way of knowing what a full versus half plate looks like. Wait staff called the owner when I saw how high the bill after our meal was and after that I was told they had to charge us full price since we ate it (we ate roughly half of 1 plate, a bit more than that for the other) and had we mentioned it when food was brought out they could have taken it back and taken care of it. How I was supposed to know their typical portions ahead of time is a mystery which I pointed out. Wouldn't you want repeat customers instead of being inflexible with your own 10-15 dollar mistake?
Eerily quiet (no music/no other customers) when we first got in. They later put on spotify or some music service that had ads loudly playing every couple minutes (if you are going to play music from a streaming service in a restaurant pay the 8 bucks a month for no ads, I beg you). Service was a mess and awkward. It was painful to get waters filled, asked for waters for everyone (2 adults and 2 kids) and initially ended up with 1, eventually ended up with 2) and just slow moving, ended up leaving while waiting for a to go box.
Pre-tip bill was 81 dollars and change for 2 plates (apparently whole plates) of dried chicken with rice and veggies, 1 single order of french fries, 1 lemonade, and 1 order of hummus (which was decent/good) with pita bread. I almost never post negatively about places (especially local spots) but overall worst restaurant experience in quite some time and a complete waste of money.

The food and service was outstanding. We had the grape leaves and the hummus for appetizers. I had the shish kofta meat with rice and a salad. All was delicious.

Having grown up in the Middle East, I’m always looking for a restaurant in West Ashley that reminds me of the food I had when I was young and Sultan’s definitely filled the bill. We had baba ghanouj, chicken kabobs, lamb kabobs, Greek salad, tabouli and delicious warm pita. What a wonder treat! To top it off we shad warm baklava with whipped cream. What a wonder trip down memory lane. Sultan’s will definitely be one of our regular go to restaurants!!
