This place has been on of my favorites for years! Everyone is super nice. And they stay busy especially during dinner. They must've changed chefs recently because everything is even more flavorful then before! It's delicious as always, even the takeout!! My favorite dishes:Summer rollsShrimp poppersShrimp papaya saladMassaman curry shrimp Pad see eu shrimp Pad Thai shrimp Mango sticky riceThai ice tea is a must!! It's super cute inside as well. Smaller space buy still sits a good amount.

I had been looking for a local Thai restaurant and found Taste of Thai located on Orleans Rd in West Ashley. It is located in a plaza so there is plenty of parking. The decor is typical for a Thai/Asian restaurant with dark colored booths and tables, lots of beautiful flowers and plants every where. The walls were hand painted with beautiful landscapes of Thailand. There is a roomy dining room with booths and tables available. I visited for lunch and the tables are full. Obviously, this is a lunchtime favorite. We were seated quickly. The waitress was super busy but took our food and drink order. I had the Pad Thai with Pork. It was a very generous portion and had lots of meat. The sauce was thick and delicious with just the right amount of heat. It came with peanuts and a lime wedge. Fantastic! Before the main course I was given a small salad. The lettuce was crisp and fresh as were the carrots. The dressing was very light and sweet. The perfect partner to my Pad Thai. The menu had all of the typical curries and meats that you would come to expect from an upscale Thai restaurant. The prices were reasonable for the high quality of food and service at Taste of Thai. This will become a favorite place for me!Looking for Thai Food...come and try Taste of Thai. You won't be disappointed.

Had lunch at Taste of Thai in West Ashley. This was the first time for us. Nice little restaurant. We arrived around noon and the restaurant was busy. Initially, the service was a little slow when we first arrived. We ended up seating ourselves. We ordered, and our food came out pretty quickly, considering how busy they were. My wife and I both had the Pad Thai, medium heat. Besides the Pad Thai, the lunch special came with a salad. The portions were generous, and the food was absolutely delicious. I would recommend that you give this restaurant a try.

I love Thai food and this ranks among the best I have had in the United States. It’s well located just west of downtown Charleston with plenty of parking. The space is pleasant and comfortable. The staff is prompt, friendly, and very attentive. The food arrived promptly. Every item was unique with all very fresh ingredients. The prices are very reasonable for the portions and the quality. We will be back.

I had been having the taste for Thai food. When the person accompanying me wanted to eat here, it was perfect. It actually reminded me a bit of a restaurant I ate in in Thailand for one of the few meals I did not eat at a street vendor. It's kind of dark inside, but we sat near a window. Our server was quite pleasant and soft-spoken. I ordered green curry with tofu which had eggplants in it. This was so delicious!!! I highly recommend this dish. They perfectly cooked the tofu which is usually hit or miss for me in restaurants. I overate, but the other person in my party took about half of her meal home. As we were leaving, I could smell incense at the altar in the entrance. The altar is beautiful. I may return here again before I leave to return home to Florida.

Needed somewhere close and good. Found this place on a review site and it was also highly rated there. We ordered steamed dumplings, basil fried rice with chicken and teriyaki chicken. Steamed dumplings were not great. But the rest of the food was very good. Tasty and plentiful. We had enough food for all of us and even a little left over. The restaurant was very nice, clean and there was plenty of space. The service was excellent. We enjoyed the food and visit. I even asked other people coming out, how they liked the food, and they all said it was great. Nice place and good food. I recommend it.

Came here with my mom recently for the first time in literal years. We were both starving so we basically ordered half the appetizers they have on their menu. They were all delicious, but the crab wontons and curry poppers were my favorite. My mom really loved the spring rolls and the stuffed shrimp. For entrees, we split the pad see ew with beef, the pad woon Sen with chicken, and an order of red curry with chicken. Each dish was super flavorful and came out hot and fresh. Idk which one was my favorite because they were all so different and delicious. I'd probably order all the same things again next time. The service was fast and friendly and our waitress didn't even blink at how much food we were ordering. Definitely will be back!

I absolutely love rice noodles.... They have these for their Pad Thai and they have a wide version as well. Soooo delish. Comfy seats and quiet atmosphere.

I have been to many thai restaurants from New York to Miami and this place fell short of my expectations. It was ok, the rice was very sticky, other dishes were too salty and generally the quality was not very high.

Thanks for the great food! My favorite is the seafood special- fresh and delicious. So many good option depending on preference. The curries are great too.

Quick spot to grab a bowl of Tom Kha Gai soup for a peaceful yummy lunch! Coconut or and rich without being heavy- neat trick! The cilantro adds a lovely finish flavor, cabbage (bok choy maybe?) for crunch, and chicken for chew and heartiness. So good! The restaurant is peaceful and quiet- even when most tables are full as they were today. This place has perfect restaurant acoustics :)

It was recommended by my sister in law and it was phenomenal! We got there 30 minutes before their break between lunch and dinner. Our server "Nong" was friendly and attentive to our requests. Our food came out just as fast as we ordered. If you're a fan of Thai food then this is a must try.
