This place is amazing!!! The food is outstanding. The staff is great.Very professional, friendly, and very personable. The beef ribs, beef cheeks make this place famous. But really all their food is exceptional. I highly recommend this restaurant. Hands down one of the best Charleston BBQ places, but this one is now my favorite.

Astronomically expensive! I was literally blown away that it cost nearly $180 for 3 people to eat here! While the ribs were good they were way over 50% fat. Just not that much meat. Only sides available were collards & beans (beans were not impressive). It’s just not that good to cost that much. I will not be eating here again. Regret that I went. I have paid in the $180 range several times before for meals at different restaurants that were hands down far superior than what we ate here. Sadly disappointed.

My friend and I finally made it to Palmira. After seeing it on TikTok, she was anxious to try it for her birthday. We pulled up and waited in line. The line wasn’t too bad. We ordered our food to dine in. I even ordered food to take home to my husband. OMG I thought I was at Halls downtown when the total popped up. The brisket was a bit over cooked because it almost evaporates in your mouth. The mac n cheese tasted like a pizza. Yes that sounds weird but it did. The coleslaw nope! The beans were good. Upon arriving home, my husband and tasted the beef rib…SALTY! Hopefully we can slice the top off and just eat the meat underneath and not get hypertension. I so wanted to enjoy this restaurant, especially after paying a mortgage for it. The staff were very friendly and the bread pudding is delicious. Way too pricey not to be superb! It wasn’t for me and that makes me sad because I so wanted to send friends and family here. Maybe it was an off day or maybe we got the wrong cuts of meat.

Saw this restaurant on TikTok. Waited in line about 20 minutes. Worth every minute of wait! Hands down the best BBQ! The beef cheeks, brisket, cheese sausage, ribs, mac n cheese, and mustard slaw were amazing! Last but definitely not least the coconut dulce bread pudding is the real deal, like mom makes! Can’t wait to come again!
Everything was excellent

Unbelievable food! Great place and fast service even at lunch hour. We went there today at 12:00. The line went fast. The Baracoa was incredible and the hash and rice was the best I have ever had. Highly recommend this very unique and different place for BBQ fans.
Great Bbq! Definitely get there early!

I visited from New York, having seen many reviews, most notably from the channel DevourPower.
Being of a Puerto Rican background, I found the influences of this restaurant intriguing, and I instantly recognized some of the occasional offerings like pastelón, búdin, etc.
The first day I attempted to eat here, I arrived over an hour prior to closing and they said they were out of food.
They’re closed Monday and Tuesday… they also close early at 8pm on the days they are open.

So I come back Wednesday (just before my time in town was over).
The line moves slow. The staff is friendly, so that’s a plus.
No salt and pepper shakers were available at the tables. Flaky sea salt shakers and pepper grinders would be appreciated on the tables.
The “whole hog” was good, the seasoning akin to that if Puerto Rican lechón (which I expected), although there was a sweetness to it that I did not like.
The habichuelas (“Puerto Rican beans”) were also good and tasted familiar, albeit again with a weird sweetness that I didn’t like.
The bbq sauce is dispensed from a very slow pump into ultra tiny sauce cups. (The one sauce pump was low, making it worse). Squeeze bottles at each table would be better, as would larger sauce cups.
Metal cutlery would also be appreciated.
I saw people eating a tostada-looking thing that didn’t appear to be on the menu. It looked good. It would’ve been nice to have all of offerings on the menu board.
— with thick cuts of meat, salt and pepper being available at the tables would help bring out the flavors in the meat.

To say this is the best BBQ I've ever had is an understatement! This place is absolutely wonderful! The beef cheek! Omg it is definitely king! The most flavorful tender and juicy bbq you'll have here in the Charleston area. And that's saying a lot! Very pricey so come hungry or better yet with a friend and split the bill. Honestly it's worth the price. Even if you just try it once. This is a restaurant we have to get behind and help thrive!

Just drove 2 hours to come eat here after seeing all the posts on social media. As soon as we pull up they have a sign out on their door saying “we are sold out for the day, see you Wednesday!” As a restaurant you shouldn’t run out of food like a food truck. Very disappointed. We planned a whole trip around this, hopefully in the future this can be took into account that there is people that see your viral posts and drive hours away to eat at your restaurant.
Wow!!!! Awesome bbq. Got the barbacoa, pork ribs, Mac n cheese, and mustard slaw. Highlight was definitely the barbacoa on tostadas!
Had the beef cheeks, barbacoa, and the chicken with collards, Mac n cheese, and the mustard slaw. Only thing that was meh was the slaw did not have much flavor. Every thing else was so good!! Barbacoa was my favorite tho!!
