Coterie is a hidden gem in Charleston, offering a lovely covered patio space for dining. The restaurant serves inventive and artfully prepared food, with dishes like ribs, lamb and prawn special, dumplings, and beet sides. The menu is tapas style, which came as a surprise to some diners. Overall, six of the seven dishes ordered by three people were very good, with standout items like stuffed cabbage, beef, and halibut. The cocktails were very good, though bar service left a lot to be desired. The cozy and elegant atmosphere, combined with the lovely outdoor patio, makes it a great spot for a unique dining experience. While some diners experienced issues with timing and value, the friendly and efficient waitstaff generally provide great service. Overall, Coterie is a memorable place for creative food and a lovely setting.
