Breakfast is decent but it goes downhill from there. The selection is terrible I just go to Publix across the street

Several times- NO coffee available. Usually ONLY 1 cashier open, yet several walking around?? Some signs are hard to read, especially for older Vets. Always seems like VA staff just jump to ahead of line???
Store does NOT have prices on all things or just hard to find on items!!
I asked the elderly man for a Danish but he gave me one that looked like it was brought from home. It was nothing like the Starbucks Danish they were displaying and it was in a ziplock bag.

The Cafe is convenient and utilized by staff on a short leash. The food is so so and could be better. I do not understand why the Cafe food is not great and the food served to hospital bed patients is deliciously first class. The Cafe operating hours are inconveniently limited during the work day.The Store is usually understaffed and always too crowded with inventory, though some comfort food can be out of stock. The main lobby Starbucks is always out of blueberry muffins by 9 AM.The retail management is out of step with demand.
The facility was clean, merchandise was presented neatly, food was very good, and the prices were reasonable. This hospital cafeteria does a great job serving the veterans and employees of this medical center. I really appreciated the POW/MIA empty table they had in a display case. There were items premade as well as short-order items available at a grill. Definitely try this cafeteria!
