The bartender told us to grab a table whenever people cleared out, so we did (3pm not a busy time) and the waiter came over to tell us that a family was about to take that table and eat food. I told him we were happy to give up the table and he said “well go find them at the elevator”. Drinks were bare minimum effort and cheap vodka for price. Don’t recommend.

Liam was our server for drinks at the Pavillion Bar celebrating my birthday! Junior was the bartender and was phenomenal making every drink to perfection! Both were very hospitable and kind with my rowdy guests! Beautiful rooftop bar in dt Charleston! Great prices drinks & service! Parking was awful unless you want to pay for valet but deff worth the ig worthy views!

What a great hotel w high expectations of an even better rooftop experience. Drinks were not good and bartender, Jr, Mr Personality...was worse. To top it off I got a free black hair in my martini, not even an I'm so sorry, this one is on the house. Work on getting people that represent the excellence you think you should receive when you walk thru the grand entrance.

There is an expectation of exceptional service and breathtaking views at The Pavilion Bar but unfortunately that was not what we experienced during our stay. Given their reputation and the price point on drinks and food, we wanted an amazing experience. Here was our truth. Our bartender was either standoffish and often made us feel rushed when we didn't know exactly what we wanted. The staff around was not friendly to us and overall; the views and ambiance were fine, but not great. We wanted to celebrate a special occasion and feel the warmth and didn't get it.

I had friends visiting from Australia this weekend. They had few requirements when I asked what activities they'd like to do, but among the 'musts' was a visit to a rooftop bar. Market Pavillion Bar has seen several menu changes in the last few years. Covid changed the landscape of offerings, so I get it. I used to enjoy the duck nachos, but the days of fun appetizers and swizzle drinks at this venue are long gone. I took my friends up here for the view. It didn't disappoint. But after four Dirty Bird Martinis and a couple of Pavillion Punches, we were well over $100 without food. I still want to love this place, but I cannot get past the fact that other venues can 'achieve the pour' for less money and still turn out a good drink. What I do know is that if you want to pay for a view, this is the place to check out, even if it's only for one cocktail, before moving on to the next venue.

Wanted to love it. Ordered 2 old fashioned with Woodford. The bill was 67$. We will never be back!

My friend and I visited after Second Sunday on King this past weekend. We ordered two martinis and a tuna tower. The tuna tower was just okay. I wish we chose something else. What upset me the most was that we were not finished with the Tuna Tower and the waiter came over and took it away while there was still some on the plate. He did not even ask us if we were finished with it yet. We kind of just sat there and stared at each other in shock. For $36, we would've liked to have finished our appetizer.

They offer a Kobe beef burger. There are eight restaurants in the nation that can sell Kobe beef. They are not one of them. This is dishonorable, and I have a crummy way of running a business. Grill 225 is the kitchen for the Pavilion Bar so they likewise deserve one or zero stars. Just call it Wagyu if it’s even close to Wagyu. But don’t outright lie and mislead your customers.

Catch of the day mustve gotten away because all they served was a big fat poppy seed bun with a toddler sized portion of greasy tasteless fish. Fries were luke warm and soaked in grease from the bottom of the batch!!! Not gonna eat there again. Waitress? Blah... she knew the food was lousy when she brought it out. Then brought us a review card that someone else had already scored. Gordon Ramsey, help them!! Plz

Excellent service on the rooftop bar. Seating is divided by plexiglass so it's pretty quiet and not windy, but because of that, it doesn't really feel like a rooftop.

Great view of the city and harbor, overpriced small plates and drinks (you're paying for the view), average quality overall and nothing particularly special.

The drinks were nothing special, pretty sure my margarita was made from a mix but the views make it worth it. Wait staff is super friendly and welcoming.

Great rooftop atmosphere and drink options. Confusing seating though, there's no host and it's first come first serve with some fighting over the limited tables.
