We hosted a rehearsal dinner and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Chris David & Jona were so attentive. The food was beyond amazing. We couldn’t be happier with how the night turned out. It was absolutely magical. Thank you Chris David & Jona for taking such great care of us and our family. And thank you Abby for helping us organize this wonderful night ???

Food and atmosphere were incredible. The service was subpar for a $270 meal for 2 but maybe he was just having a bad day. Didn’t explain the menu or ask if we were there for a special occasion. Gave my wife a weird look like she was dumb when she asked if the salads were big enough to be an entree.

The dishes I've tried here were all too salty. I've got a piece of coconut cake but it tasted too sweet. The service here is good, though average among fine dining services. Overall its not a pleasant experience because of the taste of the food here.

Kid-friendliness: You go here to get away from "kids" not be bothered by them acting up spoiling a fine dining experience.

This was one of the best fine dining experiences we've had. The food and service were outstanding and as good as you're likely to find anywhere. The staff were all professional, courteous and efficient. Our server, Stephanie, was most pleasant, engaging, attentive and informed. Watching the seemingly choreographed movement of the staff as they went about their tasks, one had to conclude that this was a well-trained and conscientious group of professionals. For starters we had oysters on the half shell with a mignonette that was perfectly balanced and avoided being overly tart, and the lobster three-ways that was perfectly cooked, light and flavorful. For entrees we both had the rack of lamb cooked exactly to our requested temperatures. The accompaniments of parsnips and English pea puree were delicious. Dessert was the raspberry-hazelnut mousse and the peach sorbet. The mousse was light and delicately flavored and was served with some fresh raspberries. The sorbet was creamy, almost gelato-like, but not at all heavy and had a wonderful peach flavor that was not overly sweet. The presentation of all the offerings was pleasing and appropriate, and artful but not artsy or pretentious. The wine list was extensive with considerable variety. Noise level was moderate but carpeted floor and fabric-covered walls served to mute the talking of fellow diners to background noise rather than competing conversations. Were able to converse in normal tones. The meal was expensive including the customary inflation of prices on the wine list. However, it was not at all out of line with what would be expected at similar fine dining restaurants. In the end the food, service and experience were well worth the price.

Haven't had a meal that good in years! Service was wonderful- very attentive without being intrusive. Food was lovely- flavorful and cooked perfectly in line with everyone's tastes. Prices are on the high side . The asparagus with bearnaise sauce and the goat cheese mashed potatoes were great. Two of our party had the Ceasar salad. I had the Lobster three ways- so good! My main course was the scallops, while my husband had a 'melt in your moutj' steak. Our waiter was amazing and very knowledgeable! Very special place!

The food was even better than we anticipated. The service was excellent. We had reservations at 6:45 we got there 15 minutes early and was seated by 6:35. They greeted us by our name when seating and everytime they came to the table. Also congratulated us on our anniversary. Best steak I ever had, my wife got the double cut pork chop and she loved it. I tasted the pork chop as well and I agree it was the best one I have had. We've been to several restaurants that are rated the same as Peninsula Grill, with that said. My wife and I agree this one is our favorite now. Definitely plan on going back soon.

Wonderful evening! I took a business friend there when she visited from the UK. Our waiter, Laurence, knew remembered everything and was very professional and knowledgeable. We told him my friend couldn't eat dairy, so he was quick to offer suggestions and alternatives. A very nice evening. Thank you. This was my 5th visit and I will return again!!

Excellent dining with great service and atmosphere. Our server, Jessica, is one of the best. We split a salad and an entree, which was the perfect amount of food. Coconut cake for dessert was the highlight of the evening. Best dining experience we had in Charleston. .
