Went in for dinner around 6pm with high expectations. Restaurant was clean and well decorated. Food was interesting with Vietnamese dishes that had other influences mixed into it to create new flavor profile or other dishes with Vietnamese flavors thrown in to mix it up. Some a hit some a miss.

The good:
Yuzu mocktail was refreshing and tasty. Garlic KFC chicken wings were delicious, crispy, and had a great fusion of flavor. Homemade blue cheese sauce was a nice touch. The Pho Cocktail was very surprising and best of the play on Vietnamese flavors presented in a new and unexpected way.

The not so good:
The Cha Gio Ssam was pretty legit and dipping sauce was spot on. Where this fell down was that about 1/4 of the lettuce had black wilted rot and had to separate out. Not pleasant at all.

The General Gerry Chicken was fried beautifully and has that seemingly forever crispy element to it. The sauce was on the salty side and flavor wise wasn’t by design. The rice was surprising. It seemed like the rice similar to Hainanese Chicken Rice but lacking the flavor and aroma.

The OG Garlic Noodles were good but just good. It had a lot of elements there that were done right and seemingly a lot going on but the flavor was surprisingly one note and somewhat muted. The presentation was the most memorable thing about it.

The low review was for the service. We got there early and even though we didn’t have a reservation, we were still seated but it seemed like they were doing us a favor the entire time. All of the food came out at one time and nothing was coursed so it was a little packed and as we finished a dish we stacked the plates. They weren’t picked up until we were asking for some boxes.

Boxes were brought out and a check immediately dropped without us asking which was a little surprising since we weren’t offered dessert and the cheesecake looked really appetizing.

I asked for a side of rice to go when asking for the boxes. We sat for another 10 minutes or so after we had paid waiting for the rice and a bag and came out a while later. Mind you, I understood there was a charge for the rice and that is totally fine but not sure why it took so long.

There was little interaction with the staff compared to how they treated other guests. Maybe they had reservation. I don’t know. Overall we spent a little over a hundred dollars for two people, felt rushed, and left there feeling kinda empty.

It’s worth checking out but I probably won’t be going back.

Food is always a 10/10 and the service is always warm, friendly, and helpful! We love the OG Garlic noodles and the general Gerry’s chicken! Not a stretch to say it is my favorite fried chicken outside of Korea I’ve ever had. Janet, Christian, Becca were incredible tonight but MICHAEL always goes above and beyond for the guests. We really appreciate the entire staff here.

Good quality! OG Garlic Noodles and Sui Cao Dumplings are good! I would have them again without question. I was tempted to try the Fish Sauce Brussels...next time!

Decorative elements are plentiful. Bathroom was clean. Good music.

No parking. The gravel lot next door is a trap that will get you towed! Save yourself time circling the block and park at the Hyatt public parking garage!

Parking: Park in the Hyatt public parking garage, it's not expensive.

Would give them a 12 out of 10 if I could. Our services Michael was great, the Pho Cocktail (yes, you heard that right) was INSANELY GOOD, and the food was outstanding - all made with fresh local ingredients outsourced in Charleston.

10’s across the board !! The food was amazing super flavorful one of the best spots I’ve been to downtown & I’m not exaggerating. The establishment is airy, earthy and super chill. Great music selection & shout out to Christian for giving us great recommendations & making the best drinks . Can’t wait to come back.

Did not know what to expect when coming here but it was soooo good. It is not the biggest place in the world and I recommend getting reservations especially if you go on a weekend. I had one of the noodle dishes, cannot remember the name exactly but they were the best noodles I have ever eaten. Highly recommend this place.

The food here is ridiculously amazing! My husband and I came and Becca the hostess was so kind and knowledgeable. Micheal and Christian were amazing as well. The food reminds us of some Asian cuisine we had in LA, but better. The ambiance was so lovely! We're definitely coming back! Everything was simply amazing! Chef's kiss!

My girlfriend and I went for Valentine's Day and were happy to find out that Pink Bellies lives up to the hype. Our servers were very friendly and offered great advice when it came to picking out items on the menu. They were attentive to our needs and we felt taken care of the entire time. The food itself was phenomenal, we highly recommend the Garlic KFC Wings and the OG Garlic noodles. I would recommend getting 3-5 dishes for two people as the food is served family style.

The space itself is calm with a neon aesthetic that fits the atmosphere of the restaurant. Seating is somewhat limited so I would recommend a reservation especially if you have parties larger than two. Overall it was fantastic experience and we will surely be back again.

The food is good, but I have to say that $18 for a pretty standard burger with no sides is crazy. Downtown prices I guess. Also our server sat us at a table that had a reservation after us, which is fine. But he made a point to tell us how long we had the table for and when we needed to leave by…… yet there was only two other tables occupied in the whole place while we were there. Why not just seat us as a different open table rather than tell us we had to leave by a certain time? Overall the food was good, we tried several different things, but nothing really blew me away. The wings and the Brussels sprouts were the best in my opinion.
