We tried to go up at nine an hour before they closed the elevators lights were off and the buttons weren’t working it wasn’t until a family came down so we could get on. Then sat in the front for 10 minutes before bills hat guy talked to us and then when he did they said they close in 20 minutes at like 9:15 and then we didn’t get any drinks cause who would after that. and went outside to look at the scenery and he came out and turned the lights off while we were out there at like 9:20 end of story they were rude and pushy wouldn’t come back

I've been attending the Charleston Conference for almost a decade at this point and I believe I've been derelict in not leaving a review.

Important points:

1. Hotel guests 10% off and you don't need to be a Hyatt member.
2. It is the tallest rooftop bar in Charleston and it's the most relaxed one without feeling like you're competing with either noise or crowds
3. The food is solid and reliable
4. There are board games and the Scrabble board isn't missing any pieces
5. (my Librarian brain counted the pieces)
6. They went off menu and made a Hot Toddy for my wife
7. Great service and accommodating
8. They play great bops (as the kids say) and yet nothing is obnoxious

One of my favorite Hyatts and hotel restaurants in the country overall for hitting 60+ nights a year.

So many beer taps with delicious beers for every taste but so little time!! (Also cocktails available) You get a pass linked to your credit card then pour the beers yourself and you are charged by the measure. This allows you to pour any amount of beer you like and to try several brews - great system!
You can also order food which is very good and sit either on the rooftop with a view over Charleston or inside.
Fun and unique experience.

Has quite a variety of options on tap. I was able to get a few ciders and even had a sour on tap. Enjoyed our time here.

Typically I love places like this, however nearly have the taps weren’t working. Really disappointing. Should they all be working, it would have been wonderful. The rooftop has some great views and the staff was friendly. Thought it was kind of weird that they show you a tip screen at the end when you’re basically doing all the work yourself, getting your own glass and pouring your own drinks.

We had a bartender that was the best at his job. He was the nicest. He had thanked my buddy who is going to the Seals and helped us out. he had brown hair didn’t get a name but he was the best server I have ever came across

We visited Pour taproom more than once while visiting in November 2024. It’s located on the rooftop of the Hyatt House Hotel. It’s kind of unique in the way they operate.
You set up a tab with a credit card. Then you use a coded card to access the taps of your choice. If you prefer other drinks like mixed or wine, there is a bartender. But for beer and such, you do all the work. Prices vary with each product. You are charged by the volume you dispense. They price it by the ounce to give you an idea of.
You can enjoy your beverage indoor or out on the rooftop if you prefer. You can see more during the day, but I like the night view myself. You have views both indoor and outdoor.
They do serve a limited menu of what one would consider bar food. I ordered a burger and fries the first night. I will say that I found it quite good. And the prices were somewhat reasonable. The wife ordered a chef salad and had the same experience. If not having alcohol, you pay upfront, unlike the tab for alcohol. Although I do not care for they asking for a tip before we even sat down.
I visited one of the anybody restrooms. This was early in the afternoon and I found the restroom cleanliness to be disappointing at best. It should not be in such conditions shortly after opening.
This is a unique experience that has you doing most of the work, and paying for it, if you’re pouring beers. It can also be quite expensive depending on what and how much you consume. Of course when you check out, a tip is expected, even though other than giving them your credit card, they basically have done nothing for you. But it is a unique experience that’s worth a visit. It’s also very convenient if you’re staying at Hyatt House. It may not be the cheapest place to visit depending on your particular situation. But we found it enjoyable and unique with nice views. We visited more than once, that must say something.

Parking: There is a parking garage located right outside the Hyatt House where Pour Taproom is located on the rooftop.
