Typically I love places like this, however nearly have the taps weren’t working. Really disappointing. Should they all be working, it would have been wonderful. The rooftop has some great views and the staff was friendly. Thought it was kind of weird that they show you a tip screen at the end when you’re basically doing all the work yourself, getting your own glass and pouring your own drinks.

We had a bartender that was the best at his job. He was the nicest. He had thanked my buddy who is going to the Seals and helped us out. he had brown hair didn’t get a name but he was the best server I have ever came across

We visited Pour taproom more than once while visiting in November 2024. It’s located on the rooftop of the Hyatt House Hotel. It’s kind of unique in the way they operate.
You set up a tab with a credit card. Then you use a coded card to access the taps of your choice. If you prefer other drinks like mixed or wine, there is a bartender. But for beer and such, you do all the work. Prices vary with each product. You are charged by the volume you dispense. They price it by the ounce to give you an idea of.
You can enjoy your beverage indoor or out on the rooftop if you prefer. You can see more during the day, but I like the night view myself. You have views both indoor and outdoor.
They do serve a limited menu of what one would consider bar food. I ordered a burger and fries the first night. I will say that I found it quite good. And the prices were somewhat reasonable. The wife ordered a chef salad and had the same experience. If not having alcohol, you pay upfront, unlike the tab for alcohol. Although I do not care for they asking for a tip before we even sat down.
I visited one of the anybody restrooms. This was early in the afternoon and I found the restroom cleanliness to be disappointing at best. It should not be in such conditions shortly after opening.
This is a unique experience that has you doing most of the work, and paying for it, if you’re pouring beers. It can also be quite expensive depending on what and how much you consume. Of course when you check out, a tip is expected, even though other than giving them your credit card, they basically have done nothing for you. But it is a unique experience that’s worth a visit. It’s also very convenient if you’re staying at Hyatt House. It may not be the cheapest place to visit depending on your particular situation. But we found it enjoyable and unique with nice views. We visited more than once, that must say something.
Parking: There is a parking garage located right outside the Hyatt House where Pour Taproom is located on the rooftop.

Fantastic selection of beers that you pour yourself. The rooftop location gives spectacular views of Charleston. We didn't get food so no comment there.

For the most part everything was great with the bar atmosphere was good they had a great selection. But for it being my first time here Patt who I believe is the bar manager was very rude. I didn’t know exactly how the tap room tabs worked so I waited at the bar as he made drinks for the man in front of my and as I walk to the bar he turns and leaves with out saying a word. I ask him if I can get a drink and he rudely tell me go open a tab at the front and walks away without trying to help me out at all and that one interaction made my entire experience bad
Kyle and Pat are awesome providing fantastic customer service! This spot is the highest rooftop bar in Charleston which I can validate since I travel here for work frequently.
It is located at the top of the Hyatt House at 560 King St. In the heart of historic downtown Charleston. Love the hotel accommodations and great service. Thank you
