While dining in is not an option right now, Purlieu makes ordering online and pickup super easy. Ordered burgers and fries which were amazing. Fresh bread with two patties and perfect balance of sweet peppers and sauce. Messy and delicious. The slice of chocolate cake has layers yummy goodness and was large enough for two. Looking forward to eating here again soon!

Was lucky enough to score a table a few times right when this first opened and it was always excellent. Sadly, had sort of forgotten about it recently but then checked online to see if they were doing Curbside Takeout -- and, luckily for us, they are. Got a heirloom tomato, house-made ricotta, and honeycomb(!) salad and a burger and fries. Easily the most delicious take-out meal of our entire quarantine. And even though it had to travel about 15 minutes before we ate it, it was hands down the tastiest burger I've had anywhere in Charleston. Will definitely be back!

As good if not better than the best I had in Paris. Highly recommend.

One of the best French restaurants outside of France we've been to. the escargot is to die for, try it! You won't regret it. Its impressive to find such a wonderful place in SC.

Well in a few words all I can say is "CANT MISS" !! This is a quaint spot off the beaten path and when we decided to go to Charleston, this place wasn't on our original radar. Luckily another industry person recommended and we are elated they did. Sit at the chef's counter if you are lucky to find available to watch a very professional and charismatic crew in kitchen executing beautiful food with synergy and finesse. These guys truly enjoy cooking and working together and it shows. We tried a few things and honestly don't miss eating the burger as part of your meal, split it amongst a few people just to get a taste. The gnocchi and snapper dishes both shined as well, along with sinfully rich desserts. Service was friendly, informed and attentive. Honestly hope that the rest of our experiences can meet the enormously high bar that the Purlieu team set. KUDOS to the owner, Executive chef and entire team there!

Small French Bistro with great food and good wait staff. Just wine and good food.

I went here for my moms birthday and it was very nice! It is expensive but the small plates are very filling and delicious! I got the mussels with a side of pommes frites and it was honestly one of the best meals I've ever had.

This restaurant is not to be missed by tourists or locals! The shrimp gnocchi was the perfect starter. Saucy and satisfying. I had the burger based on a recommendation ( normally wouldn't order a burger with the other delicious sounding options). Very glad I did as it was scrumptious! Flavorful and the perfect size. The lemon dessert was the perfect ending. Casey answered our multiple questions w expertise and kindness. She obviously is a professional and loves her job! Great food and great service has me already thinking about returning and definitely recommending! Well done Purlieu!

One of the better places I have eaten in the area. Came in for a visit and ended up eating here on a wimb. I ordered the gnocchi , the seasoning was perfect and it melted in my mouth. Great place for a quite dinner.

This was our first visit to this out of the way restaurant but it won’t be our last. Each dish was carefully prepared and beautifully presented and delicious. The location is very out of the way and therefore not convenient for pre-performance dining. But if you don’t mind eating early and parking twice it’s doable.

My husband and I went to purlieu for the first time tonight. I can't remember the last time,if ever, I've had such a delicious meal. I started with a glass of their house red. Very reasonably priced. I ordered the pear salad and the trigger fish. Absolutely delicious. I've never enjoyed a dish more. My husband ordered the escargot and short rib special. He gave both a five star. Our server was perfect. We will be regulars.
