We went with friends during a short trip through the area, and R Kitchen was the perfect highlight of our visit! The intimate atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the open kitchen setup made the experience so engaging. The chefs were not only incredibly talented but also so friendly and excited to share the story behind each dish they created.
This isn’t just dinner—it’s an experience you’ll remember long after your trip. If you’re ever in the area, R Kitchen is an absolute must! We’re already looking forward to planning another visit.

Fantastic food, atmosphere, service, and experience. Each of the five tasting courses was excellent. The concept is wonderful: you go and sit and are brought five different dishes. No ordering or thinking about what to have. Dietary restrictions are respected. Each dish was a delicious surprise: black bean soup, potato gnocchi with grilled shrimp and romesco, chicken with cassoulet, beef wellington [!!!], and a slice of blueberry streusel bread topped with the most delicious whip cream concoction that the chef mixed up while chatting with us about his method to make his chicken juicy and delicious every time.
This meal was such a delight and such a treat. Many thanks to Kevin and Patrick for an unforgettable experience.

Such a disappointment!! We’ve had great experiences at R Kitchen, but clearly our chefs were impaired. We started out well. The first two courses were great, then things went south quickly. Chef Patrick disappeared for a very long time and the following courses either didn’t happen or were subpar. Chef Patrick reappeared and was clearly unaware that courses were missed. Other patrons were perplexed and upset. We will never return. We had a big party from out of town. We hyped the experience only to be embarrassed by the unprofessional and disrespectful attitude of the chefs. A very expensive disappointment!

Hosted our company holiday party here... 18 guests. Had the entire place to ourselves. It was intimate, engaging, and very entertaining by the chefs! It was a great vibe. Food was excellent. Wine was flowing and music was a great touch. Highly recommend!!!!

One of the most unique and tastiest experiences in the Charleston area! My husband and I went (again) last night for our anniversary dinner and Justin knocked it out of the park. I am a pescatarian and have never felt like I was getting a "lesser than" dish when eating here, even when meat is served to others. Just let the chefs know about dietary restrictions/preferences before reserving and they'll take care of you.
It's a fun/intimate experience and I especially enjoy watching the chefs put the final touches on each dish before serving. Can't wait to go back!
If you love a fresh twist on a Chef's table, you'll love an experience at R Kitchen. Chef Patrick was phenomenal. The food was Amazing and the atmosphere was perfect for an evening of culinary greatness.
