Big shoutout to the guys here we had so much fun they were so nice and created an amazing experience for us!! This is really excellent value because wine is included in the price of 70 USD for 5 courses!! The courses were good like home cooked meals that they prepare in front of you. Don’t expect fine dining because that’s not the purpose but just good dishes prepared by great people!

I honestly wish I could rate higher. The food is fantastic, but it’s the interaction that makes all of the difference. Chris and his team are such authentically good people, you can tell this is a passion. He’s friendly, funny, and unbelievably talented. Where else will you find a chef that is happy to see you, will come and sit at your table to personally ensure that you enjoyed yourself, and exudes positive energy? Best Brunch experience in Charleston by far.

Some of the best food I have ever had. It was really cool being around a community table and hearing all about the dishes as they were brought out.

Came here for Easter brunch. Everyone in our party has food allergies so brunch is usually a disaster. These chefs were so creative and everything was delicious, unique, and safe for each one of us. Great experience!

I've wanted to try R Kitchen since I moved to CHS 4 years ago, but their unique reservation process just never lined up with special occasions to make it over that way. Recently, family was visiting with a wide-open schedule, and it worked out. I texted the number on their website, and they worked with me to reserve the right time and location. Super easy. They also asked about dietary constraints and said they'd try to work around any. We showed up early for our reservation, and pattered around the parking lot. Doors opened promptly at 6, and the staff was super welcoming as we sat down. We had some great conversations and enjoyed looking at the eclectic decor. Overall, the experience was great and I'd like to try it again. I loved hearing how the chefs developed the menu, and 2 of the 5 courses were absolutely top notch. 1 was pretty good. The other 2 courses were something I could make at home with minimal effort, so I was disappointed. They were good, but nothing special in terms of uniqueness and flavor. The chefs were awesome to talk to, and I would recommend this experience at least once to all Charlestonians.

This is the BEST place to catch brunch. West Ashley location is BYOB. All food is plated in front of you. You get a one on one experience with the chefs. And it's a wonderful experience! The food is unlike any other brunch food you will have anywhere else! If you love brunch, make your reservation now!

Easily one of the best spots in the Charleston area to eat. It was a fantastic atmosphere and the food was spectacular. All of the chefs were funny and positive. Will definitely be returning.

Had an 8pm seating and expected to leave a 5 review but was a little disappointing. Unfortunately our experience was partly to blame on the large party of 8 or so that were obviously out drinking well before dinner. The food (other than the NY strip) appeared to mostly be prepared earlier in the day. Portions were small, Justin (chef) was great, and the free wine was a nice surprise but overall not worth the $160 for two.

WOW!!! This place definitely deserves more than five stars! It is quite an experience to dine here. They have a fixed menu at a fixed price (I think $65-$70 per person?); usually five courses; and all Chef's Choice. Bottles of wine are already at the bar when patrons arrive -- included in the fixed price. You MUST CALL to make reservations. They only have two seatings: 6pm and 8pm.Dining at R Kitchen is truly a whole new dining experience for me. Very casual atmosphere -- you sit at a bar and chat with other patrons and the chefs who are preparing and plating your food right in front of you. The chefs also talk about what's in the dishes they're serving, what inspired it, etc. It's part of the experience to sit down and guess what's on the menu that evening (they post clues on a board at the restaurant). And you don't know which chef you're getting that night either as they rotate. We've been there at least eight or more times in the past year, and ALL the chefs are amazing! The owner, Ross, is a gregarious, generous, accommodating, and hilariously entertaining individual. He is also an amazing chef! Chris, Justin and Alex are some of the other chefs whose culinary creations we've had the pleasure of trying. And can't forget how wonderful Lindsay is all the time. They will gladly accommodate folks with dietary restrictions; just let them know when you make reservations; however, the chefs will also ask you when you get to the restaurant. It is always so impressive to me to watch them come up with alternative dishes on the fly.LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place! It is easily our favorite restaurant in foodie town Charleston! We will keep coming back!

The menu changes everyday, so it is possible to have something you don’t care for, the experience that has been put together will outweigh any of that. We have loved everything we have experienced at the R Kitchen.

Great food and experience!!!Dietary restrictions: Reservations asked about dietary restrictions. I took my aunt and uncle there- no dietary restrictions, but she likes all her meat well done, which i didn't know and asked for her Peach cobbler with Chantilly cream to be served hot- no problem! I'm sure they can cater to vegetarians given proper notification.
