Absolutely delicious! She was so friendly and helped my girls pick out their favorite flavor. Waffle cones are made fresh in house. The smell is amazing!!! Perfect stop on your trip in Charleston.

You know that scene in pulp fiction where they’re talking about a five dollar shake? Well this is a $11-$13 shake depending on what you get, but it’s worth it.

The service was friendly and the location was clean, but I would not recommend Republic Ice Cream. They were out of all custards (they only have vanilla and chocolate though), and they had no nitro cold brew for coffee beverages or floats. I ended up with an affogato, and the vanilla ice cream had a strange, artificial flavor. It even overpowered the espresso that was poured on it. The ice cream had lots of ice chunks in it, making the texture unpleasant. The regular ice cream flavors were limited as well compared to most ice cream shops. There are many better options downtown that I would go to before Republic.

The ice cream is really bad. The ladies who worked there were nice. The store was clean. The ice cream is actually just really really bad. Awful consistency. Limited flavors.

First time being at this ice cream place and safe to say the flavors of the ice cream are weird tasting. Not sure how a sundae can be weird tasting but it was. And the cappuccino chip wasn’t the best. But the shop looked cute, just not the best ice cream place to go to.

Few ice cream flavors.
Fair prices with great service.

GF waffles cones and more GF choices than I’ve seen in years!! A must stop for a celiac. I had the cookies and cream (unheard of GF in most places) and chocolate chip on a waffle cone! Hubby had butter pecan and coffee ice cream both also GF on waffle cone. He is not GF and said the GF cones were good! Such a fun surprise! The staff was super friendly. So good

Never met a cappuccino chip ice cream i didn’t love until now. Taste was either fake flavored or nothing at all. Not good. Along King St. wish I would have found a better place. Stopped in for custard but they were out of chocolate.

Delicious ice cream.

Republic Ice Cream is a nice way to enjoy a sweet treat and cool down while strolling the streets of Charleston. While the ice cream was satisfactory, it wasn’t entirely special. Staff were friendly but seemed almost bothered by the influx of customers on a hot day. The menu offered traditional flavors, cone versus cup options and a few tables for seating. The decor inside is made to feel retro which is neat but the ice cream wasn’t anything special, especially for the price!

Service was great, but ice cream was lacking. Flavor tasted almost chalky and weird.

It's the best ice cream I've had in the US. I don’t understand why so low rating. Creamy and great flavors with top customer service. I love it. Ordered Coconut, raspberry and mint an loves them all!

Service was great, ice cream was not my favorite. We had two different flavors and both were chalky and very oddly flavored. Not at all like the flavors should’ve been, we had cookies and cream and banana pudding

Delicious ice cream made with all natural ingredients! Has gluten free waffle cone options - which is so rare!!!! They have champagne and chocolate sorbets - and both are absolutely delicious. Chocolate is handmade by the owners. Blown away by this place!!! Both the King Street and Sullivan locations are awesome with super friendly staff!
