Dillan was an amazing waiter. He recommended the halibut entree and the Elvis dessert. We also ordered shrimp and grits and a side of squash. Everything was beyond our expectations. Honestly the best meal this trip. We’re staying at the Vendue as well. Honestly, the hotel (Allyson- curator) and the restaurant, AND the service ,AND the people , do not disappoint. And, and, and ,and, and….. go there an experience the Vendue!!!!

Ask for Vic! He’s the BEST server, and the food is amazing!
We loved our first experience at Revival! Vic our server was super friendly and knowledgeable. He was such a pleasure to have as our server and helped us choose our wine (as our first choice was not available). We loved it! Our pistachio topped halibut was outrageously delicious and she-crab soup was out of this world. Vic recommended the key lime pie for dessert and we both loved that as well. We look forward to our next trip to Charleston and a return visit to Revival and hope we have the pleasure of seeing Bic again as well.

Very excited to add this wonderful restaurant to our must visit list when in town. The shrimp and grits are the best in Charleston! That’s saying a lot. The she crab soup and seared scallops were equally amazing. Presentation was beautiful and the flavors were perfect. Truly a gem in a beautiful setting.

We did a special date night out as it was our last night in Charleston. Picked Revival after thoroughly researching many many restaurants. Normally this scale of restaurant could make anything taste good. Thinking this and after researching, we were excited to try Revival. We greatly regret our choice. I ordered a Fig & Prosciutto Salad as a starter. It was ok. Hubby ordered oysters for a starter. He said he’s never had a bad fried oyster but the breading flavor was underwhelming. For entrees hubby ordered the grouper and I ordered Lowcountry Pirlou. They were both beautiful arriving and had a fantastic presentation-but that’s where it ended. My rice desperately needed salt to improve it even a little but the whole dish was fairly tasteless and in want of flavor. Hubby said his grouper was oddly flavored and weirdly sweet. The brussel sprouts and rice sourdough bread were just “eh”. Hubby ordered the sourdough thinking it was a “safe” side option but was greatly disappointed that it too was very tasteless with nothing to recommend it. We considered saying something while there but there was nothing to “fix” as the whole meal was very underwhelming and needing flavor. The food wasn’t satisfying but at this price point it was just painful. However, the staff was friendly and the hostess seemed very sweet and genuine.

Our server, Sara, was so wonderful! She was very attentive and made a few recommendations which were spot on. We are well travelled, and the dinners for both my husband and I were among the best we have ever had! We just lament that we don’t live in the area so we could come here often!
