Lidi has a new menu. I'm truly sad to say it wasn't good. I won't try again. DI is so desperate for good cuisine. We had to return one dish back to the kitchen, three people could not find a positive note on the 'Crabonara'. In forty years of dining , I've never said a dish was not edible. The rest of the food is still very ... average. While our service was solid, having tipping options of 30%, 27% and 20% was awkward. We were at Hall's last week, had fantastic service, and saw tip machine options of 25, 22 and 20%. Just because I want (wish for) a good dining experience doesn't make it happen. Seven items off the menu, and they were all very average, except the one mentioned above .
I'm truly sorry to write this, I hope things get better!

I had a wonderful dining experience at this Italian restaurant. The food was delicious, the ambiance was cozy, and the service was friendly and attentive. Definitely a place I’d recommend to anyone looking for a great Italian meal!

Absolutely incredible meal at Lidi! The service and food were both incredible. Morgan was outstanding and so patient with my family who needed a little hand holding with the small plates system. Must try the Pan-Seared Scallops!

Always a fun spot! I like the improvements, the new look, yet it still remains the friendly spot on DI. Great regular bar staff (Q kills it) and kitchen rocks it.

Just OK. Pretentious. Overpriced.

Pretty good food but the server was aloof, indifferent and not interested in our having an enjoyable dinner.

Lidi was recommended during our visit to Charleston by a family friend. The atmosphere was inviting, kid friendly, service was top notch and food was first class. Special shout out to Travis and Morgan for their service and hospitality. Will definitely return and highly recommend. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

The newly remodeled Lidi did not disappoint! From our waiter, Dominic, who was knowledgeable, attentive and very personable to the starter of a strawberry and kale salad to the main course of lasagne and a swordfish cooked to perfection everything was fantastic. Would highly recommend trying Lidi with their new look and new chef. You will not be disappointed! A great place to eat on Daniel Island!

Came in before our concert for a bite. Was not disappointed. Sat at the bar and Quentin was our bartender- he was an absolute pleasure. Personal, knowledgeable and quick. The food was great- the ravioli was to die for. The bucatini sauce (i subbed for gf penne) was amazing. The meatballs (not gf) were great. But to be honest..... the FOCACCIA BREADDDD..... i would come here every day for it i could!!!

I received a dozen moldy loaves of bread from this establishment a while back. Hopefully new ownership will help!

I came to Charleston to visit my son for Easter weekend, and he said we have to try this newly rebranded Italian restaurant near his house that everyone is raving about. I couldn’t have had a better experience. My first impressions were the white tablecloth, lit candles on the tables, and the smell of Italian food. Being a retired florist, I enjoyed the fresh tulips on the table for a nice Spring touch. We split a few appetizers, but my favorite dish was the braised pork shank.  I have already requested that we make reservations next time I visit town.

I went to Ristorante LIDI for the first time and had a great experience! The Meatballs were tender and full of flavor. For any mushroom lover, the Porcini Ravioli is a must. The Veal Chop Milanese was a generous portion with well-balanced flavors. The wine list was well priced and not overloaded with Italian wines, and the extensive bourbon selection made for an excellent nightcap. Everything was delicious, and I will return next time I am in Daniel Island.
