Cat was the best server and bartender ever! She made us feel so welcome and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed! Cheers to LIDI for their excellent service, staff, cooks and food! Highly recommend. And ask for Cat!

Had an absolutely delicious meal at LIDI; of course, every meal I’ve had has been wonderful. We love sitting at the counter and enjoy both Kat & Quentin. What a great spot!

Cat the bartender is not cool. We were just having a good time at the bar. She went off and couldn’t handle us or herself. We tip well. She lost out. Will NEVER back. DI resident since 2007.

We wanted to get a bottle of wine. The sommelier let us taste a couple and we selected a nice red blend. We ordered the Parmesan Fried Shrimp as an antipasti. It was very good. It was crisp on the outside with great flavor and still cooked perfectly on the inside. Delicate and not rubbery. We then ordered the Caprese salad. The mozzarella was good, the tomatoes were a little pink for my taste and not ripe enough. For entrees I ordered the lasagna. It was served in a cast iron skillet and was delicious. It was perfectly seasoned, flavorful and every bite was excellent. My wife had the Cavetelli Bolognese she felt that the pasta was cooked very well and tasted great. The sauce was bland and lacked distinctive flavor. She asked for red pepper flakes and salt to punch it up a bit. I tasted it and have to agree that the sauce was very bland. We ordered tiramisu for desert. My wife loved it. It was a good size portion and tasted good. Tiramisu is not really my jam but the wife thought it was great. We also were served fresh bread with oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping which was very good. Total bill was about $150

Our server was nice and friendly, and she was able to memorize our order without needing to write it down. However, the other lady server who brought our food was quite rude. She just like threw our food down in front of us, even though it wasn’t even busy for her to rush that much. The food was not good and it was expensive compared to the quality. We ordered the Caprese Salad, Wild Mushroom Gnocchi, Lasagna, Spinach and Artichoke Ravioli, Shrimp Scampi, and Chicken Marsala. The Mozzarella in the Caprese tasted like it was store brought, the gnocchi was very salty, the ravioli was lacking in salt and flavor, and the lasagna had an actual burger patty in the bottom of it (which tasted like cardboard, and the cheese on it was very gamey). The only thing that was good was the shrimp scampi and the bread they gave for the table.Atmosphere was okay, but our table was bending downwards and it felt like if we lean on it, it might accidentally might break.Overall, it is a place where you go there once to try but that’s it.

Worst Italian food I have ever had, absolutely no flavor and taste like they put tomato paste on their food. Literally no one ate, total waste of money, and we fed 5 ppl 5 separate meals.

Our waitress, Marissa, was amazing and super hard working. The food was good, the white pizza was definitely the best thing we had.

I don’t often write on here, but I need to let everyone know of the experience that I just had with my family at Ristorante LIDI on Daniel Island. I went to have an early dinner at 4pm with my wife, two young children, and family who were in from out of town. This review has nothing to do with the food and the wait staff was great. My issue was with the bartender and his actions which were incredibly inappropriate and in my mind, inexcusable. For whatever reason, he went on a profanity laden tirade in front of the entire restaurant which included other young children besides my own. His language was offensive and he repeatedly and loudly slammed on the countertops while screaming curses. Our waitress apologized for his actions, but never once did he or anyone from upper management come over to apologize. This again is something that should not happen in a restaurant.

For Italian food it was by far the worse I’ve had expected better for how the place looks on the outside

I love this place. They have the best service and food, which is not very common on the island when comparing to other restaurants. The bartenders are fast and efficient and friendly.!

For the extremely high prices, one would expect either a significant quantity of food or high quality. After multiple meals here, it’s safe to say this place offers neither. Recently, a $21 very small piece of lasagna featured a noodle so hard and stuck to the bottom of the skillet it wasn’t edible. Couldn’t get through it with a knife. Service is “meh” to put it nicely, but the food here is overpriced, undercooked and all 3 dishes we tried tonight were also significantly over-salted. They have a captive, wealthy audience. So they can get away with it.

One of the best happy hours in the Charleston area. The happy hour bar bites are decent proportions, especially the gnocchi and salads. The toasted raviolis, spinach salad and stuffed mushroom were my favorites. Mushroom was very flavorful. Had 5-6 bar bites and 2 glasses of wine each for $60 total. Service was quite slow which knocked it down a star. Will definitely be back.

The only thing better than the food was the amazing service and cocktails that Quinton was mixing up. He makes the best old school old fashioned. Ask him to make it the way he likes it.
