This place is so hyped up, but I got a briscuit sandwich and it was disgusting. The briscuit was tough and has veins in it. Disappointing.

I knocked a star off only because my ribs the day before were not tender. Everything else was perfect. I came back 24 hours later to give it one more try with the family and everything was perfect. Great food and prices aren't too bad.

We had no trouble getting a table on a weeknight. I will say they go pretty heavy on the pepper, which I like but not everyone does. Enjoyed everything we had – particularly the Carolina style pork BBQ. They have a handful of beers on tap including a few local options. Food came out quickly. Portion size is good.

Best bbq I’ve ever had. Located in a casual, local spot. Added plus, I got to say hello to the owner/chef !

Ribs and brisket were fantastic. Also really enjoyed the hush puppies, cornbread, and collards. We tried both of the shredded pork but felt they were pretty dry. Atmosphere was very casual which is expected but tons of leftover/spilled food on the ground and chairs were dirty.

Really good barbecue and collard greens. Fast service. Outdoor seating is nice. Extra parking can be found in the adjacent Food Lion parking lot.

Went here for lunch and really enjoyed it. The menu is great—solid Southern food done well without being too fancy. Prices are reasonable, service is fast, and it’s a perfect spot for a quick, easy, satisfying meal. Definitely a good go-to if you want something tasty and uncomplicated in Charleston.

I'm down here doing work and ordered pick up on Tuesday. Really enjoyed the two meat combo, the hush puppies and coleslaw. I had to go back. Ordered again Thursday and was not disappointed.
Really great brisket but honestly between the corn bread and hush puppies, it was worth returning back for.

I go to Charleston just for Rodney Scott barbecue I wanted to go back Saturday for the beef rib, but it was raining. However, the wings were delicious and sold with a pork ribs. I’m never disappointed when I go. The service is fast and the people are friendly, courteous, and informative.

Service and atmosphere were top tier. I loved the outdoor seating and they also have a drive thru. My turkey sandwich was absolutely delicious and the kids really enjoyed their chicken tenders and fries. DH really didn't love his plate though. Let me add the context that we're from eastern NC, so we admittedly like a specific type of BBQ. We both felt that the sauces and cornbread were too sweet. The ribs and pulled pork were cooked very well but short on flavor. Even still, we'd try it again if we were in the area and it was cool to visit one of Charleston's most popular and culturally significant restaurants.

Well well so...We are foodies and let me tell you the food was awesome. You have to understand there are different styles of bbq to leave a review that the bbq is dry. You're buggin!! Doesn't need sauce, well seasoned, you can taste the smoke, the macaroni and cheese complimented it well. Hush puppies! Fire! Get those! Corn bread...eh I can see why it's included, its not great, but ok with the butter. The sauces are watery, buttt they are on the table, don't use it if you don't like it. This place is amazing Carolina BBQ, definitely tasty! The place of busy but they clean the tables quickly and it's neat.I recommend going to this place. FYI it's not Texas BBQ.

Very nice atmosphere, friendly staff but the food was a true let down. Very dry, underseasoned, the sauce was watery. We got two meat plates. I had brisket and turkey and my wife had ribs and pulled pork. Food was really trying hard to make it to par, and sometimes achieved it, but sadly remained below par for the most part. Our local BBQ joint in the north east is way better.
